They have many exciting developments coming. What We're Looking For AVTECH is seeking a skilled, detail-oriented software & firmware engineer to join our team. You'll work independently and along side your teammates to develop new - and improve existing - software and firmware for AVTECH's cutting-edge product line. Your innovative contributions to our next generation of environment monitoring solutions will be grounded in real-world findings from your direct contact with customers using our products in the field. What We Need For This Position

Experience designing and maintaining reliable, user-friendly software and firmware.
Knowledge of and experience with:
- Programming languages, including Java, C, C++ and C#.
- Integrated development environments (IDEs), including Eclipse.
- Revision control software, including CVS.
- Software build tools, including Ant.
Excellent analytical, trouble-shooting and diagnostic skills.
Experience successfully resolving programming issues and developing creative solutions.
Excellent communication skills, including:
- Clear, correct, reader-friendly technical writing.
- The ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical people.

You'll Really Impress Us With

Experience with assembly language and microprocessor programming.
Experience in developing web applications for multiple platforms and browsers.
Experience with Python applications and scripts.
Experience creating online videos or webinars.
Experience writing or editing technical articles, application notes or FAQs.
Experience with basic computer hardware repair and diagnostic equipment.
Fluency in a foreign language, particularly Spanish.
