The Windows Plugin Bundle is available for AVTECH's Device ManageR software (v3.0.1 and up). It consists of five (5) separate plugins designed to provide functionality to Windows systems remotely across the network. These plugins can be used to shutdown, reboot and/or log off, run scrips/commands and provide audible notifications to an unlimited number of Windows systems... individually, in groups, simultaneously, sequentially or according to a defined schedule.

  • Windows Shutdown: The Windows Shutdown plugin is designed to shutdown Windows systems remotely across the network. When loaded into Device ManageR, users will be able to create a new Action/Notification List that will use the Windows Shutdown action when an alert is detected. This action will perform a forced power-down of the target system using the username and password provided during configuration.

  • Windows Reboot: The Windows Reboot plugin is designed to reboot Windows systems remotely across the network. When loaded into Device ManageR, users will be able to create a new Action/Notification List that will use the Windows Reboot action when an alert is detected. This action will perform a forced reboot of the target system using the username and password provided during configuration.

  • Windows Log Off: The Windows Log Off plugin is designed to log off Windows systems remotely across the network. When loaded into Device ManageR, users will be able to create a new Action/Notification List that will use the Windows Log Off action when an alert is detected. This action will perform a forced log off of the target system using the username and password provided during configuration.

  • Windows Script/Command: The Windows Script/Command plugin is designed to allow users to execute Windows commands, batch files or VBScripts when alerts are detected. Each instance of the Windows Scripting action will be able to perform one method at a time, however there are no limits on the number of instances that can be created.

  • Windows Audible Action: The Windows Audible Action plugin is designed to speak alert text or play a sound file over the Device ManageR host system's sound card. When loaded into Device ManageR, users will be able to create a new Action/Notification List that will use the Windows audible action when an alert is detected. This action will use the speakers connected to the Device ManageR host system to speak the alert text generated by the alert or play a sound file, depending on the configuration of the action.

These plugins are ideal for use when conditions in a data center environment turn fatal for computer systems and other expensive IT equipment such as extreme temperature, extreme humidity, main power loss, flood, smoke/fire, security break-ins and other conditions. Device ManageR can shutdown, reboot and/or log off critical Windows systems without any user interaction both automatically and immediately, saving expensive equipment from damage caused by environment extremes that go unchecked.

Maintenance, Support & Update Service (MSUS)

'Maintenance Support & Update Service' (MSUS) for AVTECH's IT & facilities environment monitoring products is an important type of 'IT & facilities insurance'. If a problem arises, help is within easy and immediate access. This enables your organization to keep the servers, network and entire operation available and running for everyone's benefit. It also allows managers to sleep well at night, comfortable knowing that Room Alert, TemPageR and Device ManageR are on the job 24 hours a day!

During the 'Maintenance Support & Update Service' (MSUS) period, AVTECH will make available to licensed and current MSUS customers without charge, copies of any appropriate firmware and software updates or enhancements as may be released. Firmware and software updates will be provided via website download (approximately 3-4 times per year) and updates shall include release notes or revised documentation when it is or may be appropriate. Older, outdated versions of software and firmware are not available once an upgrade is released.

AVTECH will provide technical support as may be required, advance notice of new products and services, periodic newsletters or update communications, and various special offers. Room Alert and TemPageR hardware customers will enjoy full hardware replacement service on the hardware monitor in case it should fail to function properly during normal use (i.e. without tamper or damage). This valuable service insures that current firmware and software versions for products, documentation, as well as technical support and fully functioning hardware, are available to licensed and current customers during the MSUS period. A gap in MSUS service may void the 100% hardware monitor replacement guarantee.

MSUS is an annual service that is included free during the first year for any AVTECH monitor purchased. MSUS is optionally extendable thereafter on an annual basis, paid for in advance. AVTECH automatically sends out renewal notices sixty (60) days prior to expiration of MSUS for easy, optional renewal or cancellation. Failure to renew this service in advance will lead to a loss of the above benefits. Reinstatement after MSUS has expired will incur an additional $25 service fee and may invalidate your right to our 100% hardware monitor replacement guarantee. Room Alert & TemPageR Limited Warranty

AVTECH Software Inc. (AVTECH) warrants its Room Alert and TemPageR environment monitors against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase by the original end user customer ('Warranty Period'). This Warranty Period can be extended annually with the optional renewal of AVTECH's Maintenance Support & Update Service (MSUS). If a hardware defect arises and a valid claim is received by AVTECH Technical Support within the Warranty and/or extended MSUS Period, at its option and to the extent permitted by law, AVTECH will either (1) repair the hardware defect at no charge, using new or refurbished replacement parts, (2) exchange the product with a product that is new or which has been manufactured from new or serviceable used parts and is at least functionally equivalent to the original product, or (3) refund the purchase price of the product. A replacement product or part, including a user-installable part that has been installed in accordance with instructions provided by AVTECH, assumes the remaining warranty of the original product or ninety (90) days from the date of replacement or repair, whichever provides longer coverage. When a product or part is exchanged, any replacement item becomes property of the end user customer and the replaced item, if applicable, becomes property of AVTECH. Replacement products will be shipped to customers via UPS Ground or equivalent at AVTECH's expense. Products returned to AVTECH by customers will be shipped at the sender's expense. Expedited shipment methods can be requested and will be used at the customer's expense. Parts provided by AVTECH in fulfillment of its warranty obligation must be used in products for which warranty service is claimed. When a refund is given, the product for which the refund is provided must be returned to AVTECH and becomes AVTECH’s property. Refunds are paid only after the returned product is received by AVTECH. No products can be returned to AVTECH for credit or replacement without prior RMA authorization by AVTECH Technical Support. All products returned without prior authorization become property of AVTECH with no further obligation to the customer required. A gap in MSUS for a hardware monitor invalidates any responsibility on the part of AVTECH to replace that hardware monitor. Any such replacement is then at AVTECH's sole discretion.



AVTECH Sensor & Accessory Limited 90-Day Warranty

AVTECH Software Inc. (AVTECH) warrants its environment monitoring sensors and accessories against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of purchase by the original end user customer (‘Warranty Period’). If a hardware defect arises and a valid claim is received by AVTECH Technical Support within the Warranty Period, at its option and to the extent permitted by law, AVTECH will either (1) repair the hardware defect at no charge, using new or refurbished replacement parts, (2) exchange the product with a product that is new or which has been manufactured from new or serviceable used parts and is at least functionally equivalent to the original product, or (3) refund the purchase price of the product. Exclusions & Limitations: This Limited Warranty applies only to hardware products manufactured by or for AVTECH. The Limited Warranty does not apply to any non-AVTECH hardware products or any software, even if packaged or sold with AVTECH hardware. Manufacturers, suppliers, or publishers, other than AVTECH, may provide their own warranties to the end user customer, however AVTECH, in so far as permitted by law, provides their products 'as is'. Software distributed by AVTECH with or without the AVTECH brand name (including, although not limited to system software) is not covered under this Limited Warranty. Refer to the licensing agreement accompanying the software for details of your rights with respect to its use. AVTECH does not warrant that the operation of the product will be uninterrupted or error-free. AVTECH is not responsible for damage arising from failure to follow instructions relating to the product’s installation or use. This warranty does not apply: (a) to damage caused by use with non-AVTECH products; (b) to damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, flood, fire, earthquake or other external causes; (c) to damage caused by operating the product outside the permitted or intended uses described by AVTECH; (d) to a product or part that has been modified to alter functionality or capability without the written permission of AVTECH; (e) to consumable parts, such as batteries, unless damage has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship; (f) to cosmetic damage, including although not limited to scratches, dents and broken plastic on ports; or (g) if any AVTECH serial number has been removed or defaced. AVTECH reserves the right to modify or amend this Limited Warranty at any time, for any reason, and will notify users by posting changes in writing online at AVTECH.com prior to any change being implemented.
