Bandwidth -
Defines the amount of time it takes for information to travel between two points.
Binary -
A number system with only two symbols or conditions (0 | 1). The binary system is the basis for storing data in computers.
Bit -
A binary digit, a digital quantity representing either 1 or 0 (on or off).
Buffer -
A temporary storage area usually held in the computer's RAM. The purpose of a buffer is to act as a temporary storage area for data that will allow the CPU to work with the data before transferring it to a device such as a disk.
Byte -
Represents eight bits of memory in a computer.
