When Compatible Axis Cameras Push To Your RoomAlert.com Account

Types of camera pushes to your Room Alert Account

Your compatible Axis camera makes two types of pushes to your Room Alert Account: status update and motion detection.

Status-update pushes include basic information about your camera, such as its IP and MAC addresses.

Motion-detection pushes include an image from the camera triggered by motion detection, plus the same information you get in a status update.

Conditions that trigger camera pushes to your Room Alert Account

1. When the camera reboots, it pushes a status update (no image included).

2. When you manually restart the GoToMyDevices Push application through your camera’s web interface, the camera pushes a status update (no image included).

Note: The name of the Image Push application will be updated in a future release.

3. Once an hour after the last successful push, the camera pushes a status update (no image included).

4. When the camera detects motion, it pushes images (plus the same information as a status update).

– When you receive image pushes, you may at first see placeholder images that read “Processing,” as shown below:

– These placeholders will fill in at approximately 5 minute intervals, when the images sync on the Room Alert Account. You’ll need to select Refresh  above Captured Images to refresh the images.
