v1.1.1

January 16, 2013

AVTECH Device ManageR v5.5.0 or higher is required for this update. Please be sure any web browsers currently accessing the unit are closed to be sure all files are updated correctly.

  • Improved the calibration used for the internal temperature sensor. When using a standard power adapter, the internal temperature sensor will now track much closer to an external temperature sensor without the need for an ‘Adjust’ value entered by the user. When using PoE, the internal temperature sensor will be slightly warmer due to heat generated by the PoE converter. When using PoE, AVTECH recommends allowing the Room Alert 3E to run for a few hours to allow the temperatures to stabilize before applying an ‘Adjust’ value in the settings.

If you have previously entered an ‘Adjust’ value for the internal temperature sensor, we recommend resetting this to zero and comparing the internal sensor to an external sensor with the improved calibration included in this firmware update. Once the newly calibrated difference is known, you can enter that in the ‘Adjust’ field in the settings to align the internal temperature with the external temperature.

  • Reorganized the boot order to allow sensor values to initialze more quickly when a device reboots or is turned on.

v1.1.0
