To view only those sensors that matter to you, you may hide unneeded sensors from your Room Alert Monitor’s Device Details<\/em> page.<\/p>\n

First, open your Room Alert Monitor’s Device Details<\/em> page by following these steps:<\/p>\n

1. Log in to your account at RoomAlert.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In order to hide or unhide a sensor, you must log in as an Administrator or Operator. For more information, please see the \u201cTypes of user roles\u201d section of our FAQ, How To Manage User Access To Your RoomAlert.com Account<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

2. In the navigation bar to the left, select Devices<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

3. Select your Room Alert.<\/p>\n

Then follow the instructions below to hide\/unhide sensors.<\/p>\n

To hide a sensor, follow these steps:<\/h4>\n

1. In your Room Alert’s Device Details<\/em> page, scroll to the sensor you wish to hide. In our example, we’ll be hiding an external sensor that is no longer connected.

2. Select the gear icon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

3. Next select Hide Sensor<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

4. Then select Save<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

5. Repeat the steps above for any sensor you do not wish to see.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/span>Show Hidden Sensors<\/div>

To unhide a sensor, follow these steps:<\/h4>\n

1. Locate the Sensors<\/em> heading on your device’s Device Details<\/em> page.<\/p>\n

2. Select Show Hidden Sensors<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

3. View the list of hidden sensors that appears.<\/p>\n

2. Select Show<\/strong> beside the sensor you wish to see again.

3. Select Close<\/strong> to return to your Room Alert’s Device Details<\/em> page.<\/p>\n

4. Note that the sensor now appears again in the Sensors<\/em> list.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n

When you disconnect a sensor from the Room Alert box, it appears as Inactive<\/strong> in your Room Alert Account. If you hide an “inactive” sensor, and later plug the same type of sensor into the same port on the Room Alert, it will still be hidden.<\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
