To do so, please see our FAQ, <a href=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/21219\/how-to-configure-light-and-relay-actions-in-room-alert-manager\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">How To Configure Light And Relay Actions In Room Alert Manager<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>If you want to trigger the Light Tower or Relay on one Room Alert from a sensor on another Room Alert, you must use Room Alert Manager.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>However, if you want your Light Tower or Relay to do something when the attached device reboots, you must configure that through the Room Alert.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"> Setting Up Profiles In Your Room Alert&#8217;s Web Interface <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>To set up profiles in your Room Alert&#8217;s web interface, please follow these steps:  <\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"su-accordion su-u-trim\">\n\n\n<div class=\"su-spoiler su-spoiler-style-fancy su-spoiler-icon-plus su-spoiler-closed\" data-anchor=\"enable_external_light_tower_or_relay\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\" data-anchor-in-url=\"no\"><div class=\"su-spoiler-title\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\"><span class=\"su-spoiler-icon\"><\/span>Step 1: Enable your External Light Tower or Relay Switch.<\/div><div class=\"su-spoiler-content su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\">\n\n\n\n<p>You must first enable your Light Tower or Relay Switch in the Room Alert web interface. For instructions, please see&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/11016\/enable-external-light-tower-relay-switch-room-alert-monitor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">How To Enable Your External Light Tower Or Relay Switch In Your Room Alert Monitor<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the end of those instructions, you may select <strong>Save<\/strong> to reboot the unit and commit the change or continue on to configure a <a href=\"#configure_boot_profile\">Default \/ Boot Profile (Step 2)<\/a> or your <a href=\"#configure_alarm_profile\">Alert Profile(s) (Step 3)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"su-spoiler su-spoiler-style-fancy su-spoiler-icon-plus su-spoiler-closed\" data-anchor=\"configure_boot_profile\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\" data-anchor-in-url=\"no\"><div class=\"su-spoiler-title\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\"><span class=\"su-spoiler-icon\"><\/span>Step 2: Configure a Default \/ Boot Profile.<\/div><div class=\"su-spoiler-content su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\">\n\n\n<div class=\"su-note\"  style=\"border-color:#bcc7cd;border-radius:5px;-moz-border-radius:5px;-webkit-border-radius:5px;\"><div class=\"su-note-inner su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\" style=\"background-color:#d6e1e7;border-color:#ffffff;color:#000612;border-radius:5px;-moz-border-radius:5px;-webkit-border-radius:5px;\">\n\n\n\n<p>A common <em>Default \/ Boot Profile<\/em> for a Light Tower, for example, is to turn the green LED on and all other features off, indicating a clear state. (If your unit reboots and is immediately in an alarm state, the alarm profile will then kick in.) <\/p>\n\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Follow these instructions to set a <em>Default \/ Boot Profile<\/em>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Select&nbsp;<strong>Settings<\/strong> in the navigation bar to the left in your Room Alert&#8217;s web interface.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Then select <strong>Alarms<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Locate your Light Tower or Relay.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Locate the Profile drop-down menu.\n<ul>\n<li>On &#8216;E&#8217; models, you&#8217;ll see: &#8220;Choose an Alarm or Boot Profile to view or edit.&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On &#8216;S&#8217; models, you&#8217;ll see: &#8220;Choose an Alarm or Default Profile to view or edit.<em>&#8220;<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>Boot Profile<\/strong> or <strong>Default Profile <\/strong>(depending&nbsp;on your Room Alert model).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Under each feature of the Light Tower or Relay, select what you&#8217;d like to happen any time the attached Room Alert reboots. Your Room Alert will reboot to commit the changes. In our example, when the unit comes back up, the Light Tower&#8217;s green LED will be on. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n<div class=\"su-expand su-expand-collapsed su-expand-link-style-default\" data-height=\"0\"><div class=\"su-expand-content su-u-trim\" style=\"color:#333333;max-height:0px;overflow:hidden\">\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"color:#4d4b4b\" class=\"tadv-color\">Room Alert \u2018E\u2019 models have a \u201cBoot\u201d profile and Room Alert \u2018S\u2019 models have a \u201cDefault\u201d profile.<\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Before any alarm is triggered, these profiles serve the same purpose\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>They control the light tower \/ relay behavior when the Room Alert device first boots up or reboots.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>After an alarm is triggered, these profiles are treated differently\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>\u2018E\u2019 models:<\/strong><em>Boot Profile<\/em> is only enforced when the device first boots up. Once an alert is triggered, <em>Boot Profile<\/em> is displaced by an alarm profile.\n<ul>\n<li>Each alarm profile includes a separate set of &#8220;On Alarm&#8221; and &#8220;On Clear&#8221; configurations. For more information, see <a href=\"#configure_alarm_profile\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">Step 3<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>\u2018S\u2019 models:<\/strong><em>Default Profile<\/em> is always enforced. When an alarm is triggered, the device layers an alarm profile<em> <\/em>on top of the <em>Default Profile<\/em>.\n<ul>\n<li>You choose which default settings get overridden by each alarm profile. Your Room Alert will reboot to commit your changes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n<div class=\"su-note\"  style=\"border-color:#bcc7cd;border-radius:5px;-moz-border-radius:5px;-webkit-border-radius:5px;\"><div class=\"su-note-inner su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\" style=\"background-color:#d6e1e7;border-color:#ffffff;color:#000612;border-radius:5px;-moz-border-radius:5px;-webkit-border-radius:5px;\">\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Room Alert S Models &#8211; Alarm Profile Conflicts<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When multiple alarm profiles are triggered simultaneously, the profiles are simply applied on top of each other. When the behavior of one alarm profile conflicts with another, they are prioritized in this order: <strong>ON > OFF > NONE<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n<\/div><\/div> <div class=\"su-spoiler su-spoiler-style-fancy su-spoiler-icon-plus su-spoiler-closed\" data-anchor=\"associate_profiles_with_sensors\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\" data-anchor-in-url=\"no\"><div class=\"su-spoiler-title\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\"><span class=\"su-spoiler-icon\"><\/span>Step 4: Associate your Alarm Profiles with sensors.<\/div><div class=\"su-spoiler-content su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\">\n\n\n\n<p>Now that you&#8217;ve created your Alarm Profile(s), you&#8217;ll need to associate them with sensors so that they execute when that sensor goes into an alarm state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To associate a profile with a sensor, follow the steps below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Select the&nbsp;<strong>Settings<\/strong>&nbsp;tab from the navigation bar to the left in your Room Alert&#8217;s web interface.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Then select&nbsp;<strong>Sensors<\/strong>&nbsp;in the Settings menu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Locate the sensor you wish to set a profile on. In our example, we&#8217;ve chosen the internal Temperature &amp; Humidity sensor.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set at least one threshold on the sensor. In our example, we&#8217;ve set a high of 81\u00b0 Fahrenheit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In <em>Use Alarm Profile<\/em>, select the profile you wish to use. In our example, we&#8217;re using the default, <strong>Profile 1<\/strong>, which we&#8217;ve configured to turn on the Light Tower&#8217;s red LED. In our example, we&#8217;ve selected <strong>Profile 2<\/strong> for the Room Alert 32E&#8217;s Room Entry sensor.
