By default, your Axis camera’s name is its model number plus its serial number. If you wish, you may rename your camera through its\u00a0web interface; this new name will then appear in Device ManageR.<\/p>\n

To change the name of your Axis camera,\u00a0follow these steps:<\/p>\n

1. Select your Axis camera in the list of Discovered Devices in Device ManageR.<\/p>\n

2. Then select Open Settings<\/strong>\u00a0from the menu below the camera’s name.<\/p>\n

3. The camera’s web interface will open to\u00a0Setup<\/em> page. Select System Options<\/strong>\u00a0from the navigation bar to the left of the screen.<\/p>\n

4. In the System Options<\/em> menu, select Network<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

5. In the Network<\/em> menu, select\u00a0Bonjour<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

6. In\u00a0Friendly name<\/em>, enter the new name for your camera.<\/p>\n

7. Select\u00a0Save.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Once Device ManageR scans the network for changes, your Axis camera should appear in the Discovered Devices list with the name you just configured.<\/p>\n
