Plug the modem into a USB port on the software&#8217;s host system.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">B. Install the most recent version of the modem&#8217;s drivers.<\/p>\n<p>Then check the COM port by following these steps:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">1. Navigate in Windows to <strong>Start<\/strong>&#8211;&gt;<strong>Control Panel<\/strong>&#8211;&gt;<strong>System and Security<\/strong>&#8211;&gt;<strong>System<\/strong>&#8211;&gt;<strong>Device Manager<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">2. In the Device Manager screen, double-click on <strong>Modems<\/strong> to expand the list.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">3. Locate your modem and right-click on it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">4.
