{"id":160,"date":"2015-06-23T16:17:32","date_gmt":"2015-06-23T20:17:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/192.168.2.166\/~webapp\/support\/faq\/wordpress\/?p=160"},"modified":"2025-05-21T14:29:02","modified_gmt":"2025-05-21T18:29:02","slug":"enable-disable-push-roomalert-com","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/160\/enable-disable-push-roomalert-com\/","title":{"rendered":"How To Enable\/Disable Push To RoomAlert.com"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Starting with the following&nbsp;firmware releases, the AVTECH devices listed below automatically push sensor data to RoomAlert.com.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Room Alert MAX Base Station, v1.0, May 5,2025<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Room Alert 32S, v1.0.1, released February 6, 2020<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Room Alert 12S, v1.2.0, released July 16, 2020<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Room Alert 3S, v1.5.3, released December 23, 2021<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Room Alert 32E\/W, v2.4.0, released July 18, 2014 <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Room Alert 12E, v2.1.0, released August 8, 2014<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Room Alert 4E, v3.2.0, released August 20, 2014<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Room Alert 3E, v1.3.0, released August 8, 2014<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Room Alert 3 Wi-Fi, v1.0.0, released February 28, 2015<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Push to RoomAlert.com is enabled by default. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>You may disable it in Room Alert MAX &amp; PRO (&#8216;S&#8217;) models through the unit&#8217;s built-in web interface.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You may disable it in the &#8216;E&#8217; models listed above through their Telnet menu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There is no option to disable push to RoomAlert.com in the Room Alert 3 Wi-Fi.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The instructions below show you how to configure push.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"su-tabs su-tabs-style-default su-tabs-mobile-stack\" data-active=\"1\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\" data-anchor-in-url=\"no\"><div class=\"su-tabs-nav\"><span class=\"\" data-url=\"\" data-target=\"blank\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">Room Alert MAX &amp; PRO models<\/span><span class=\"\" data-url=\"\" data-target=\"blank\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">Room Alert E Models<\/span><\/div><div class=\"su-tabs-panes\"><div class=\"su-tabs-pane su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\" data-title=\"Room Alert MAX &amp; PRO models\">\n\n\n\n<p>You may enable or disable push to RoomAlert.com in the <strong>Settings<\/strong> \u2192 <strong>Advanced<\/strong> page of the Room Alert 32S, 12S or 3S web interface, or the <strong>Settings <\/strong>\u2192 <strong>Push<\/strong> page of the MAX Base Station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>First, open the Base Station&#8217;s web interface.<br>You may do this by typing its IP address directly into your browser&#8217;s URL. <br>For help, please see <a href=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/172\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">How To Discover A Room Alert Monitor<\/a> &amp; <a href=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/13255\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">How To Open Your Room Alert Monitor\u2019s Built-in Web Interface<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Log In to the web interface.<br>For help, please see <a href=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/166\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">How To Access A Room Alert Monitor\u2019s Password-Protected Pages<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>(On Room Alert PRO &#8216;S&#8217; models) Navigate to <strong>Settings <\/strong>\u2192 <strong>Advanced<\/strong>.<br>(On Room Alert MAX) Navigate to <strong>Settings <\/strong>\u2192 <strong>Push<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the <em>RoomAlert.com<\/em> section of the page, check or uncheck the <em>Enable push to RoomAlert.com<\/em> box according to your preference.<br><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1138\" height=\"219\" class=\"wp-image-23701\" style=\"width: 600px;\" src=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/DisablePush.png\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/DisablePush.png 1138w, https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/DisablePush-300x58.png 300w, https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/DisablePush-1024x197.png 1024w, https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/DisablePush-768x148.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1138px) 100vw, 1138px\" \/><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Then select <strong>Save <\/strong>or <strong>Save Settings<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"su-tabs-pane su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\" data-title=\"Room Alert E Models\">\n\n\n\n<p>For Room Alert models 32E, 12E, 4E and 3E, you may configure push to RoomAlert.com using Telnet. Please note that Telnet is disabled by default in Windows versions Vista and above. For instructions on enabling it, please see this FAQ: <a href=\"http:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/191\/enable-telnet-windows-versions-vista\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">How To Enable Telnet In Windows (Versions Vista And Above)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Open Windows Command Prompt, which you may find at the following path on your Windows system: <strong>Start<\/strong>&#8211;&gt; <strong>All Programs<\/strong>&#8211;&gt; <strong>Accessories<\/strong>&#8211;&gt; <strong>Command Prompt<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. At the prompt, enter the following command, as shown in the example below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>telnet &lt;Room Alert Monitor IP address&gt; 9999<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"http:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/telnet_command.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"677\" height=\"107\" src=\"http:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/telnet_command.jpg\" alt=\"telnet_command\" class=\"wp-image-3101\" srcset=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/telnet_command.jpg 677w, https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/telnet_command-300x47.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 677px) 100vw, 677px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>3. If you are prompted for your Room Alert Monitor password, enter it and then press the <strong>Enter<\/strong> key on your keyboard. Otherwise, simply press <strong>Enter.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"http:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/telnet_Password_Prompt.bmp\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"677\" height=\"117\" src=\"http:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/telnet_Password_Prompt.bmp\" alt=\"telnet_Password_Prompt\" class=\"wp-image-3096\" srcset=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/telnet_Password_Prompt.bmp 677w, https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/telnet_Password_Prompt-300x52.bmp 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 677px) 100vw, 677px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><em>You must press Enter within a few seconds or you&#8217;ll get a &#8216;Connection to host lost&#8217; message. If you see that message, press <strong>Enter<\/strong> to get the prompt back and re-enter the telnet command from Step 2.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. The Telnet menu will appear as shown below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5. At the &#8216;Your choice?&#8217; prompt, enter &#8217;80.&#8217;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"http:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Telnet_YourChoice_80.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"677\" height=\"355\" src=\"http:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Telnet_YourChoice_80.jpg\" alt=\"Telnet_YourChoice_80\" class=\"wp-image-3097\" srcset=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Telnet_YourChoice_80.jpg 677w, https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Telnet_YourChoice_80-300x157.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 677px) 100vw, 677px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>6. The &#8216;Enable RoomAlert.com push?&#8217; prompt appears. From here, you can either disable push or re-enable and configure push:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Disable<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; To disable, enter &#8216;N.&#8217;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>OR<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Re-enable \/ Configure<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; First, to re-enable, enter &#8216;Y.&#8217;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Then, enter the time interval between pushes that you&#8217;d prefer. You may choose one of the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; For a 60 minute interval, enter &#8216;1.&#8217; (60 minutes is the default.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; For a 12-hour interval, enter &#8216;2.&#8217;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; For a 24-hour interval, enter &#8216;3.&#8217;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Finally, enter the length of time you prefer it to take for a push attempt to timeout. You may enter a timeout value between 5 and 255 seconds. (10 seconds is the default.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7. Then, the Telnet menu will reappear. This time, at the &#8216;Your choice?&#8217; prompt, enter &#8216;9,&#8217; which corresponds to &#8216;save and exit.&#8217;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"http:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Telnet_Option9_SaveAndExit.bmp\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"677\" height=\"196\" src=\"http:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Telnet_Option9_SaveAndExit.bmp\" alt=\"Telnet_Option9_SaveAndExit\" class=\"wp-image-3099\" srcset=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Telnet_Option9_SaveAndExit.bmp 677w, https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Telnet_Option9_SaveAndExit-300x87.bmp 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 677px) 100vw, 677px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>8. Once you see the &#8216;Parameters stored&#8217; and &#8216;Connection to host lost&#8217; messages, you may close Windows Command Prompt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>9.
