Open your Room Alert Monitor&#8217;s web interface. You may open the interface using AVTECH&#8217;s Device ManageR or Device Discovery, or by entering the unit&#8217;s IP address directly into the address bar of your browser.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">2. Select <strong>Settings<\/strong> at the top of the screen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">3. Select <strong>Advanced<\/strong> in the navigation bar to the left.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">4. In the <em>Time &amp; Date Configuration\u00a0<\/em>section, enter the IP address of your time server in the <em>Time Server IP<\/em> field.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">5. Select <strong>Accept Changes<\/strong> at the bottom of the page to temporarily save your settings.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">6. Then select <strong>Save Settings<\/strong> in the navigation bar to the left.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">7. Your unit will reboot with the new setting and attempt to obtain the time and date from the new IP address.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;d like to configure a Windows system or Windows server as a Network Time Server, please see this FAQ: <a href=\"http:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/1529\/configure-windows-windows-system-network-time-server-ntp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">How To Configure A Windows Or Windows Server System As A Network Time Server (NTP)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Timeserver requests are sent from the Room Alert Monitor on UDP port 123; this port must be unblocked on your network to allow the Room Alert Monitor to synch properly.<\/p>\n<p>You may configure other settings in the\u00a0<em>Time and Date Configuration<\/em>\u00a0section of the <em>Advanced Settings<\/em>\u00a0page as well:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Time_Date_Config.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3379\" src=\"http:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Time_Date_Config.jpg\" alt=\"Time_Date_Config\" width=\"450\" height=\"166\" srcset=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Time_Date_Config.jpg 580w, https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Time_Date_Config-300x111.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; In <strong>Time Zone<\/strong>, you may choose your local time zone from the drop-down list.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; In <strong>Time Display<\/strong>, you may choose the hour format from the drop-down list:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">&#8211; 24 hour (default)<br \/>\n&#8211; AM\/PM<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; In <strong>Time Format<\/strong>, you may select the date format from the drop-down menu:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">&#8211; MM\/DD\/YY Hour:Minute:Second (default)<br \/>\n&#8211; DD\/MM\/YY Hour:Minute:Second<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; You may select the <strong>Daylight Savings<\/strong> check box to add 1 hour to the current time.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; As noted above, you may enter a new IP address in <em>Time Server IP<\/em> or leave the default, 198.82.1.201.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; In <strong>Time Server Auto Refresh<\/strong>, you may select the interval at which your unit synchronizes with the timeserver:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">&#8211; Disabled (default)<br \/>\n&#8211; 10 Minutes<br \/>\n&#8211; 1 Hour<br \/>\n&#8211; 6 Hours<br \/>\n&#8211; 12 Hours<br \/>\n&#8211; 24 Hours<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; You may select <strong>Update Now<\/strong> to synchronize the time manually.
