The Telnet client is disabled by default in Windows versions Vista and above; you must enable it before you can successfully use Telnet commands.<\/p>\n<h3>Enabling Telnet<\/h3>\n<p>To enable the Telnet client on your Windows system, follow these steps:<\/p>\n<p>1. In Windows, navigate to <strong>Start<\/strong>&#8211;&gt; <strong>Control Panel<\/strong>&#8211;&gt; <strong>Programs and Features<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>2. The <em>Windows Features<\/em> screen will appear; it may take a moment or two to populate with a list of features.<\/p>\n<p>4.
