class=\"wp-block-heading\">Device Data Settings<\/h3>\n\n\n<div class=\"su-expand su-expand-collapsed su-expand-link-style-default\" data-height=\"0\"><div class=\"su-expand-content su-u-trim\" style=\"color:#333333;max-height:0px;overflow:hidden\">\n\n\n\n<p>Room Alert Manager stores your device&#8217;s sensor data in two forms:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Max Resolution Data<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The stored <em>Max Resolutions Data<\/em> includes every individual data point that Room Alert Manager receives from your devices.<\/li><li>Over time, <em>Max Resolution Data<\/em> can take up significant diskspace. <ul><li>This is especially true when Room Alert Manager is configured with a low <em>Data Polling Interval<\/em>, like the default interval, 15 seconds. <\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>5 Minute Resolution Data<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The <em>5 Minute Data <\/em>stored in Room Alert Manager takes up significantly less diskspace than the <em>Max Resolution Data<\/em>.<ul><li>Room Alert Manager calculates the average of all data points for a single channel accrued during a 5-minute interval, and the result is stored as a single data point.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>The <em>5 Minute Data<\/em> is used to build reports that contain more than 12 hours worth of data, allowing Room Alert Manager to load and display graphs without using excessive resources.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n<\/div><div class=\"su-expand-link su-expand-link-more\" style=\"text-align:left\"><a href=\"javascript:;\" style=\"color:#1e76c2;border-color:#1e76c2\"><i class=\"sui sui-chevron-circle-down\" style=\"\" aria-label=\"\"><\/i><span style=\"border-color:#1e76c2\">Room Alert Manager stores your device's sensor data in two forms: Max Resolution and 5 Minute Resolution.<\/span><\/a><\/div><div class=\"su-expand-link su-expand-link-less\" style=\"text-align:left\"><a href=\"javascript:;\" style=\"color:#1e76c2;border-color:#1e76c2\"><i class=\"sui sui-chevron-circle-up\" style=\"\" aria-label=\"\"><\/i><span style=\"border-color:#1e76c2\">Show less<\/span><\/a><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"5\" id=\"block-74349ddf-edf2-4c12-9c0a-b18769097507\"><li>In the <em>Device Data <\/em>tab, you&#8217;ll see the following fields:<br><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"447\" height=\"633\" class=\"wp-image-25212\" style=\"width: 300px;\" src=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/RAM_DeviceData.png\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/RAM_DeviceData.png 447w, https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/RAM_DeviceData-212x300.png 212w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 447px) 100vw, 447px\" \/><ul><li><strong>Data Polling Interval<\/strong><ul><li>In this section, you may configure how often Room Alert Manager asks your devices for sensor data. <\/li><li>The default and minimum value is 15 seconds.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>Max Resolution Data Retention<\/strong><ul><li>In <em>Keep for x days<\/em>, you may change the value from the default value, either* 30 days or 180 days.<br>*<em>The default retention period depends on whether your current Room Alert Manager installation was upgraded from a previous software version that did not support data deletion.<\/em><\/li><li>When you make changes to this field, Room Alert Manager recalculates the <em>Estimated Max Size<\/em> of your <em>Max Resolution Data<\/em>, according to the number of days you&#8217;re keeping.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>5 Minute Data Retention<\/strong><ul><li>In <em>Keep for x days<\/em>, you may change the value from the default value, 5 years, to a different number of days or years.<\/li><li>When you make changes to this field, Room Alert Manager recalculates the <em>Estimated Max Size<\/em> of your <em>5 Minute Data<\/em>, according to the number of days\/years you&#8217;re keeping.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><ul><li><strong>Size of Retained Data<\/strong><ul><li>Room Alert Manager calculates the <em>Estimated Max Size<\/em> of your stored data, according to the number of sensor readings being monitored, and the amount of data you&#8217;ve chosen to keep.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>When you&#8217;re done configuring settings, select <strong>Save Changes<\/strong> at the bottom of the screen.<br><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"205\" height=\"66\" class=\"wp-image-21381\" style=\"width: 125px;\" src=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/RAM_SaveChanges.png\" alt=\"\"><\/li><li>If you&#8217;ve made changes to either of the data retention settings, you&#8217;ll see the <em>Change data retention?<\/em> confirmation dialog box.<br><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"620\" height=\"358\" class=\"wp-image-21664\" style=\"width: 300px;\" src=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/RAM_DataRetentionChangeConfirm.png\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/RAM_DataRetentionChangeConfirm.png 620w, https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/RAM_DataRetentionChangeConfirm-300x173.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 620px) 100vw, 620px\" \/><ul><li>Type the word &#8220;change&#8221; into the field to confirm your changes.<\/li><li>Then select the <strong>Change Data Retention<\/strong> button.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Room Alert Manager will check if it needs to delete data, based on the new retention settings. <ul><li>If so, it will began a data deletion process, and display its progress while this process completes.<br><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"631\" height=\"82\" class=\"wp-image-21711\" style=\"width: 300px;\" src=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/RAM_DataCleanupProcess.png\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/RAM_DataCleanupProcess.png 631w, https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/RAM_DataCleanupProcess-300x39.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 631px) 100vw, 631px\" \/><\/li><\/ul><ul><li>After deleting data, the Room Alert Manager service may need to automatically restart in order to compact the newly freed diskspace. <\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Going forward, Room Alert Manager will regularly check if its database contains data older than your retention settings, and delete data accordingly.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"su-tabs-pane su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\" data-title=\"Camera Images\">\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Camera Images Retention Settings<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"5\" id=\"block-74349ddf-edf2-4c12-9c0a-b18769097507\"><li>In the <em>Camera Images<\/em> tab, you&#8217;ll see the following options:<br><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"460\" height=\"389\" class=\"wp-image-25211\" style=\"width: 300px;\" src=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/RAM_CameraImages.png\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/RAM_CameraImages.png 460w, https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/RAM_CameraImages-300x254.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 460px) 100vw, 460px\" \/><ul><li><strong>Keep a maximum of X images per camera<\/strong>.<ul><li>This option is disabled by default. Enable it in order to limit the number of images that Room Alert Manager keeps from any discovered camera.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>Keep images for up to X days.<\/strong><ul><li>This option is enabled by default.
