If you have an <a href=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/Products\/Sensors\/Relay.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">external Relay Switch Sensor<\/a> connected to your Room Alert 12E through a <a href=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/Products\/Accessories\/Light_Tower_Adapter.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Light Tower &amp; Relay Adapter<\/a>, it should behave normally.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How To Check If Your Room Alert 12E Built-in Relay Behavior Is Reversed<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>One way to check if your Room Alert 12E&#8217;s relay behavior is reversed is to run a trace on the device. The beginning of the trace\u2014referred to as the &#8220;trace header&#8221;\u2014contains basic information about your device, including its PIC version.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>To start a trace on your device, follow the instructions in this FAQ: <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/2432\/generate-trace-room-alert-monitor\/\" target=\"_blank\">How To Generate A Trace On A Room Alert Monitor<\/a>.<\/li><li>Once your trace begins, you should see &#8220;PIC: 0X&#8221;
