Any business, facility or organization that is responsible for the safety and well-being of their employees should be concerned about environmental conditions such as heat index, to ensure the environment is safe.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3><b>What Is Heat Index?<\/b><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/22947\/high-heat-index\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Heat Index<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is the \u201cfeels like\u201d temperature that helps us interpret how the heat and humidity affects how the temperature feels to the human body. The amount of moisture in the air affects the body\u2019s ability to dissipate heat. A more specific range can be determined depending on relative humidity, season, clothing worn, activity levels, and other factors. To take the emphasis of worker safety even further, OSHA implemented a<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.osha.gov\/laws-regs\/standardinterpretations\/2021-09-01\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">nationwide enforcement initiative on heat-related hazards<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
