When you initiate a reset, the status LEDs will first turn red, then cycle through red and green, and finally return to their original state.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your unit will reboot with factory settings restored.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Room Alert MAX: reset settings<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>With your Max Base Station powered-on, press and hold the RESET button for <strong>10 -29 seconds<\/strong> until the device&#8217;s LED begins flashing <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-purple-color\">PURPLE<\/mark><\/strong>.\n<ul>\n<li>If you hold the button for more than 30 seconds, it state will change.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Release while the LED is flashing <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-purple-color\">PURPLE<\/mark><\/strong> to reset all user-entered settings, including static IP settings, Wi-Fi connections, and alarm thresholds.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your unit will reboot with factory settings restored.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Room Alert MAX<\/strong>: <strong>reset settings AND wireless sensor connections<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>With your Max Base Station powered-on, press and hold the RESET button for <strong>more than 30 seconds<\/strong> until the device&#8217;s LED changes from flashing <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-purple-color\">PURPLE<\/mark><\/strong> to flashing <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-luminous-vivid-orange-color\"><strong>ORANGE<\/strong><\/mark>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Release while the LED is flashing <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-purple-color\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-luminous-vivid-orange-color\"><strong>ORANGE<\/strong><\/mark><\/mark><\/strong> to reset all user-entered settings AND all wireless sensor and adapter connections.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your unit will reboot with factory settings restored.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"su-tabs-pane su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\" data-title=\"Through its Telnet menu\">\n\n\n\n<p><em>* Not available on Room Alert &#8216;S&#8217; models or MAX Base Stations.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you don&#8217;t have access to reset the Room Alert Monitor through its web interface or with its physical reset button, you can reset the unit through its Telnet menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>You must have Telnet enabled on your Windows system in order to complete the steps below. Telnet is disabled by default in Windows versions Vista and above. Please see our FAQ <a href=\"http:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/191\/enable-telnet-windows-versions-vista\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">How To Enable Telnet In Windows (Versions Vista And Above)<\/a> for help.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Open Windows Command Prompt, which you may find at the following path on your Windows system: <strong>Start<\/strong>&#8211;> <strong>All Programs<\/strong>&#8211;> <strong>Accessories<\/strong>&#8211;> <strong>Command Prompt<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At the prompt, enter the following command, as shown in the example below.<br><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">telnet [Room Alert Monitor IP address] 9999<\/mark><\/em><br><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"677\" height=\"99\" class=\"wp-image-3350\" style=\"width: 600px;\" src=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/telenet_command_9999.bmp\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/telenet_command_9999.bmp 677w, https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/telenet_command_9999-300x44.bmp 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 677px) 100vw, 677px\" \/><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you are prompted for your Room Alert Monitor password, enter it and then press the <strong>Enter<\/strong> key on your keyboard.
