The <em>Status<\/em>\u00a0and <em>Help\u00a0<\/em>pages of the Room Alert Monitor web interface may not be password protected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Room Alert MAX:<\/strong> Username &amp; Password can be up to 128 characters, and may include symbols.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Room Alert &#8216;S&#8217; models:<\/strong> Username &amp; Password can be up to 50 characters, and may include symbols.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Room Alert &#8216;E&#8217; models:<\/strong> Passwords may be up to 15 alphanumeric characters. They should not include symbols.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Setting a Password<\/h3>\n\n\n<div class=\"su-note\"  style=\"border-color:#bcc3cd;border-radius:5px;-moz-border-radius:5px;-webkit-border-radius:5px;\"><div class=\"su-note-inner su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\" style=\"background-color:#d6dde7;border-color:#ffffff;color:#305d8c;border-radius:5px;-moz-border-radius:5px;-webkit-border-radius:5px;\">\n\n\n\n<p>Along with setting a password, the Room Alert MAX, 32S, 12S, 3S and 4E also allow you to set a username.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>First, open the Base Station&#8217;s web interface.<br><em>You may do this by typing its IP address directly into your browser&#8217;s URL.<br>For help, please see <a href=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/172\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">How To Discover A Room Alert Monitor<\/a> &amp; <a href=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/13255\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">How To Open Your Room Alert Monitor\u2019s Built-in Web Interface<\/a>.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Log In to the web interface.<br><em>For help, please see <a href=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/166\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">How To Access A Room Alert Monitor\u2019s Password-Protected Pages<\/a>.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>(On &#8216;S&#8217; and &#8216;E&#8217; models) Navigate to <strong>Settings<\/strong> &#8211;> <strong>Security<\/strong><br>(On MAX Base Stations) Navigate to <strong>Settings<\/strong> &#8211;> <strong>Credentials<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Then set your new password.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>(Room Alert &#8220;E&#8221; models only)<\/strong>\u00a0In <em>Current Password<\/em>, enter the existing password if there is one; otherwise, leave the field blank.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter the new password in <em>New Password<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Retype it in <em>Confirm Password<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>Save<\/strong> or <strong>Save Settings<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Resetting Unknown Credentials<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have lost the credentials to your Room Alert Monitor <em>Settings<\/em> page, you&#8217;ll need to reset the unit to factory defaults to regain access.
