Meet Sean<\/b><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Sean Bowker is our knowledgeable<\/span> IT Manager<\/span><\/a>. In addition to that hat, he also wears a second hat in managing our Tech Support Team as they help customers. He does this by assisting the Technical Support Team in handling customer inquiries as well as providing additional support during the troubleshooting process. On a typical day, Sean checks in with the Technical Support Team and reviews important information so they are delivering the best possible service to all of our Room Alert users. We have team members going on 5 years and team members in their first 6 months. Sean shared that, \u201cWith the wide variety of Room Alert monitors, sensors and accessories we offer (both current and legacy) it is impossible to learn everything within the first few months of training.\u201d He also invests time in various ongoing projects such as working with users to be sure that they are able to access their information in a secure manner.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

At night, outside of regular business hours, Sean can spend hours reviewing relevant technical support data which helps him to identify trends and audit the effectiveness of our team as well as taking time to run Windows Updates and reboot servers. We have a large number of Windows-based servers and dozens of Linux servers just here at our AVTECH headquarters, in addition to the network switches and other hardware that require periodic reboots and other maintenance. He also helps to manage the substantial infrastructure hosted at other facilities that make up the AVTECH.com and RoomAlert.com systems.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Sean\u2019s hard work and dedication ensures the overall performance of AVTECH\u2019s<\/span> electronic networks<\/span><\/a> and leads the IT department in fulfilling AVTECH\u2019s information systems requirements. The work he does is absolutely critical to allowing our team to come into work every day and seamlessly service our Room Alert customers so they can prevent the 30% of costly downtime that is caused by environmental threats.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

About Sean Bowker<\/b><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Sean Bowker graduated from The College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. Before joining the AVTECH team, Sean spent 11 years teaching high school science.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
