AVTECH was established in 1988 when Founder & CEO Michael Sigourney recognized a need to help businesses monitor their data and software systems. Over the years as the business world became more digital and computer systems became essential to day-to-day operations, the need for AVTECH\u2019s monitoring products grew. Following our start with monitoring software, AVTECH identified hardware as an additional way to monitor systems and help protect data as well as facilities.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n

Our first hardware-based monitors were the TemPageR line and were designed to oversee changes in temperature. Temperature is by far the most common environmental threat to jeopardize business uptime and productivity. However unexpected power loss, humidity, flood, smoke and more can also quickly lead to extensive and expensive downtime. We expanded our monitor capabilities to cover a wide range of environmental threats and thus TemPageR evolved into Room Alert. Today, Room Alert monitors temperature, humidity, heat index, dew point, power, flood, smoke, fire, airflow and more. We also have our flagship <\/span>Room Alert PRO<\/span><\/a> line of secure environment monitors, which offer a targeted focus on security and secure connections. Room Alert is a comprehensive solution for advanced and secure, best-in-class environment monitoring.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Without the proper proactive monitoring solutions in place, environment-related concerns can cost your business thousands of dollars in repairs and irreparable damage, or even leave you forced to close your doors for good. Since AVTECH\u2019s inception, we\u2019ve experienced ups and downs like any other company. In 2018, we opened our <\/span>first international distribution facility<\/span><\/a> in Shannon, County Clare, Ireland. This location can ship Room Alert to countless countries within a matter of a day or two at extremely competitive and economical rates. We\u2019ve also received multiple patents for software and hardware. For example, our <\/span>Digital Active Power Sensor w\/ Temperature<\/span><\/a> is a patented and award-winning sensor that provides the real-time power status of any electric device by simply strapping it to any AC electrical cord. Our <\/span>patented Monitor360 technology<\/span><\/a> provides a comprehensive 360-degree view of the facility or environment by combining existing single sensor readings into composite virtual sensors. This could be used to report the average, maximum or minimum temperature across a number of sensors or to determine if conditions across a set of sensors is met or not met. Sprinkled throughout, we\u2019ve faced challenges such as significant changes in process automation, having an office building catch fire, having another office building flood and periodically navigating the same supply chain concerns that face us all at one time or another. Reflecting on our 35-year journey, it is unbelievable to see how far we\u2019ve come. We are confident moving forward that we have the team and experience in place to take AVTECH and Room Alert forward for another 35-plus years.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
