(<em>8.x+ is not currently compatible.<\/em>)<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; Axis&#8217; Video Motion Detection 3 application. (<em>VMD 4 is not currently compatible.<\/em>)<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; AVTECH&#8217;s GoToMyDevices Image Push application.<\/p>\n<p>Refer to our <a href=\"http:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/5485\/list-axis-cameras-compatible-roomalert-com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">List Of Axis Cameras Compatible With RoomAlert.com<\/a>&nbsp;to see if your camera&nbsp;can meet the above requirements.<\/p>\n<p>If you haven&#8217;t yet discovered your compatible Axis camera, you may make the initial discovery with AVTECH&#8217;s Room Alert Manager software or with the manufacturer&#8217;s software, Axis IP Utility or Axis Camera Management. Find the firmware versions available for your model on the Axis web site:&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.axis.com\/global\/en\/support\/firmware\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Firmware (Axis web site)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>2. Choose the highest version between 5.60 and 7.x (inclusive).<\/p>\n<p>3. Install that version on your camera using the unit&#8217;s web interface (HTTP) or Axis Camera Management software. The instructions on the Axis web site show you how: &nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/help.axis.com\/en-us\/axis-os-knowledge-base#how-to-upgrade\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">How to upgrade&#8230; (Axis web site)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Next,&nbsp;<a href=\"#axis_motion_detection_3\">install Axis Video Motion Detection 3 <\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"su-tabs-pane su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\" data-title=\"Next, install Axis Video Motion Detection 3.\">\n<p>Your camera must have Video Motion Detection (VMD) 3.x installed. VMD 4 (or 2) is not compatible with our image push application.<\/p>\n<div class=\"su-accordion su-u-trim\">\n<div class=\"su-spoiler su-spoiler-style-fancy su-spoiler-icon-plus su-spoiler-closed\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\" data-anchor-in-url=\"no\"><div class=\"su-spoiler-title\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\"><span class=\"su-spoiler-icon\"><\/span>1. Check your VMD version.<\/div><div class=\"su-spoiler-content su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\">\n<p>Once you&#8217;ve updated your compatible Axis camera to a version between 5.60 and 7.x, check to see what version of VMD is installed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">1. Select <strong>Setup<\/strong>&nbsp;at the top of the page of your camera&#8217;s web interface.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">2. Select <strong>Applications<\/strong> from the navigation bar to the left.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">3. Download and install VMD 3.<\/div><div class=\"su-spoiler-content su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\">\n<p>If you don&#8217;t see VMD 3 in&nbsp;<em>Applications<\/em>, follow these steps to get it:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">1. Navigate to the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.axis.com\/global\/en\/products\/axis-video-motion-detection\/download\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Axis Video Motion Detection &#8211; Download<\/a>&nbsp;page&nbsp;in your web browser at Axis.com.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">2. &nbsp;Scroll down to the&nbsp;<em>Download Video Motion Detection 3 <\/em>section in that page and select the yellow <strong>Download<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">3. When the <em>Axis_Video_Motion_Detection_3.eap<\/em> file finishes downloading, save it somewhere you can easily find.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">4. In the window that opens, navigate to the <em>Axis_Video_Motion_Detection_3.eap<\/em> file and double-click on it to load it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">6. Remove&nbsp;other versions of VMD.<\/div><div class=\"su-spoiler-content su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\">\n<p>If you have VMD versions other than 3 in <em>Applications<\/em>, remove them.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">1. Highlight Axis Video Motion Detection 4 (or Axis Video Motion Detection 2) by clicking on it once.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">2. Select <strong>Remove<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"su-spoiler su-spoiler-style-fancy su-spoiler-icon-plus su-spoiler-closed\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\" data-anchor-in-url=\"no\"><div class=\"su-spoiler-title\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\"><span class=\"su-spoiler-icon\"><\/span>4. Select <strong>Downloads<\/strong> in the navigation bar to the left.<\/p>\n<p>3. Navigate to the file you just downloaded and extract its contents using a compression program like 7-Zip, WinZip or WinRar.<\/p>\n<p>2. Open the extracted folder, in which you&#8217;ll find&nbsp;4 .eap files.
