You have the choice to set each action to start after a certain period of time and repeat at regular intervals. The most common action is to send an email notification; other available actions include Windows Shutdown, Linux Shutdown, Email An Axis Camera Snapshot, Toggle Signal Tower or Relay, and many more.<\/p>\n<p>You may view\u00a0a video demonstration of creating an Action \/ Notification List below:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/hl6TnR1vVpU?rel=0\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Your Action \/ Notification Lists may include one or many actions. Grouping actions together in an Action \/ Notification List allows you to execute multiple actions in response to one alert condition. In this example, we\u2019ll group the email actions we created in the previous FAQ, <a href=\"http:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/154\/how-to-configure-an-action-in-device-manager\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">How To Configure An Action In Device ManageR<\/a>, in order to notify multiple contacts when an alert occurs.<\/p>\n<p>To create an Action \/ Notification List, follow these steps:<\/p>\n<p>1. Open Device ManageR in your web browser. You may open it by entering &#8216;localhost:8080&#8217; or &#8216;&lt;IP address of Device ManageR&#8217;s host system&gt;:8080&#8217; in your browser&#8217;s address bar.<\/p>\n<p>2. Select <strong>Alerts \/ Tasks<\/strong> in the navigation bar to the left.<\/p>\n<p>3. In the <em>Alerts \/ Tasks<\/em>\u00a0menu, select <strong>Action \/ Notification Lists.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>4. In the <em>Add New Action \/ Notification List<\/em> window that appears:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; In <em>Name<\/em>, enter a name for your Action \/ Notification List. In our example, we&#8217;re calling our list &#8216;Notify IT Staff.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; (Optional) In <em>Description<\/em>, you may enter notes you feel may be helpful.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; Then select <strong>Add<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/ADM_Add_New_ActionNotificationListItem_Button.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3235\" src=\"http:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/ADM_Add_New_ActionNotificationListItem_Button.png\" alt=\"ADM_Add_New_ActionNotificationListItem_Button\" width=\"400\" height=\"216\" srcset=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/ADM_Add_New_ActionNotificationListItem_Button.png 560w, https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/ADM_Add_New_ActionNotificationListItem_Button-300x162.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>6. In the <em>Add Action \/ Notification List Item<\/em> window that appears:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; In <em>Alert Action<\/em>, select the action you want executed when the alert condition is triggered. In this example, we are selecting our <strong>Email IT Manager<\/strong> Action.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; In <em>Start the Action after X<\/em> seconds, you may leave the default, 0, to have the action begin immediately after the trigger, or enter a higher number of seconds to delay the start of the action. We&#8217;ve left the default of 0 in our example.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; In <em>Repeat the Action every X seconds<\/em>, you may leave the default, 60, or enter another value to control how frequently the action repeats. In our example, we&#8217;ve entered &#8216;300&#8217; (seconds) in order to send emails at 5 minute intervals.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; In <em>Perform the Action, y<\/em>ou may leave the default, <strong>Continuously<\/strong>, or\u00a0cap the number of times the action is performed by selecting <strong>A maximum of X times<\/strong>. \u00a0You may leave the default of 1 or enter a higher value. In our example, we&#8217;ve capped the repetitions at 3.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; In <em>Clear Action<\/em>, you may select an action you have configured if you want that action performed when the Alert condition clears. In this case, we are selecting our <strong>Email IT Manager<\/strong>\u00a0action so that contact receives a &#8216;clear&#8217; notification.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; Select <strong>Save<\/strong> to save your <em>Action \/ Notification List Item <\/em>and return to the <em>Add New Action Notification List<\/em> window.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/ADM_Add_New_ActionNotificationListItem.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3301\" src=\"http:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/ADM_Add_New_ActionNotificationListItem.png\" alt=\"ADM_Add_New_ActionNotificationListItem\" width=\"350\" height=\"355\" srcset=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/ADM_Add_New_ActionNotificationListItem.png 410w, https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/ADM_Add_New_ActionNotificationListItem-296x300.png 296w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 350px) 100vw, 350px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>7. To add more Action \/ Notification List Items to your Action \/ Notification List, select <strong>Add<\/strong> again and repeat the steps above. You may add as many items to your list as you wish. In the example below, we&#8217;ve gathered into the &#8216;Notify IT Staff&#8217; list the four email notification actions we set up in the previous FAQ, <a href=\"http:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/154\/how-to-configure-an-action-in-device-manager\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">How To Configure An Action In Device ManageR<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>8.
