Switch sensor ‘Alarm On’ states are set to ‘Closed’ by default in your Room Alert Monitor web interface. Click here to check if your switch sensor should be set to ‘Alarm On’ ‘Open’ or ‘Closed’.
To change the ‘Alarm On’ setting for your switch sensor to ‘Open,’ follow these steps:
1. Open your Room Alert Monitor’s web interface. You may open the interface using Device Discovery, Device ManageR, or your account at RoomAlert.com. You may also type the IP address of the unit directly into the address bar of your web browser.
2. Select Settings in the navigation bar to the left.
3. Then select Sensors from the options below Settings.
On the Room Alert 3 Wi-Fi, navigate to the Alert Options –> Sensors page.
4. In the Sensor Settings page, scroll down to the Switch Sensor Settings section and then find your sensor.
– If you’ve named the sensor, you can find it by name.
– Otherwise, you can find it by number: if you’ve connected your switch sensor to the first switch port, look for Switch Sen 1; if you connected it to the second switch port, look for Switch Sen 2, etc.
5. Select the Alarm On drop-down menu for your sensor. You’ll see a list with the following options:
– Open
– Closed
– Disabled
6. To generate an alarm (and change the Status page appearance to a red X) when the switch goes into an OPEN state, select Open from the drop-down list.
7. Select Save Settings at the top or bottom of the screen. Your Room Alert Monitor will reboot with your new setting.

If you are using this client, you should configure the general SNMPv3 Credentials, but leave the Read / Write SNMPv3 Credentials section blank.
