If you have lost your username or password for Device ManageR’s web interface, but have access to Device ManageR’s host system, you may follow the instructions below to reset all user credentials.
These instructions require you to start and stop the Device ManageR service. This FAQ shows you how: How To Stop, Start And Restart The Device ManageR Service.
1. Stop the Device ManageR service.
2. Browse to your Device ManageR installation directory (‘C:|Program Files|AVTECH Device ManageR’ by default).
3. Open the ‘conf’ folder and delete the ‘realm.properties’ file.
4. Start the Device ManageR service.
Once the Device ManageR service starts, it will rebuild the ‘realm.properties’ file. You should now be able to access Device ManageR without providing any user credentials. You may then wish to configure credentials again on Device ManageR’s Settings–>Security page.

If you are using this client, you should configure the general SNMPv3 Credentials, but leave the Read / Write SNMPv3 Credentials section blank.
