AVTECH Introduces New Extreme Temperature Sensor For Cold Storage, Vaccine Monitoring, Manufacturing And More

Rhode Island manufacturer introduces new sensor to help protect vaccines in cold storage, laboratory environments, and high temperature manufacturing facilities

January 26, 2021 Warren, RI – AVTECH Software (AVTECH) is proud to introduce their new Digital Extreme Temperature Sensor for monitoring facilities and equipment with extreme low and high temperature environments, such as laboratories, freezers used in vaccine storage, pharma research facilities, manufacturing plants and more

Now in its 32nd year in business, AVTECH manufactures Room Alert, the world’s most popular environment monitor for business continuity plans. Room Alert is made in the USA and proactively monitors environment conditions such as temperature, humidity, flood, power, smoke, and more. Room Alert is currently used in 18of 196 countries by organizations ranging from thousands of small businesses to one of the world’s largest retailers, over 80% of the Fortune 1000, the United Nations, every branch of the US military, and many state and local governments.

AVTECH’s new Digital Extreme Temperature Sensor can actively monitor environments with temperatures ranging from  328 to 932 degrees Fahrenheit (-200 to 500 degrees Celsius) when used with a Room Alert environment monitor. This new sensor, designed by AVTECH in their primary Rhode Island office and manufactured in the USA, will allow organizations with extreme temperature monitoring needs to easily monitor their facilities and equipment so they can be alerted when temperatures change, or move outside of acceptable ranges for their specific needs.

We’ve seen increased needs from our customers over the past year for extreme temperature monitoring,” said Richard Grundy, President of AVTECH. “We previously offered two separate extreme temperature sensors, one for low temperatures and the other for high temperatures. Our new Digital Extreme Temperature Sensor offers a wide range of temperature monitoring in one robust, easy to use sensor. When it is paired with a Room Alert proactive environment monitor, the new Digital Extreme Temperature Sensor can help monitor and protect critical facilities such as laboratories, freezers or refrigerators used for vaccine storage, pharma research facilities, or manufacturing plants that need to monitor equipment required to operate at extremely high temperatures.

In addition to Room Alert environment monitors, AVTECH also offers a wide range of digital, switch and analog sensors designed to help users monitor as many environment conditions as possible to help protect their facilities. Room Alert is a crucial part of any organization’s business continuity plan, as it allows users to fully monitor environment conditions in their data centers, server rooms, and facilities that can cause unexpected downtime.
