The Room Alert 3 Wi-Fi has 2 LEDs. On the left is the ‘L’ (link) LED; on the right is the ‘S’ (status) LED.
When the unit is not connected to power, they are unlit, as shown below:
Once the unit is powered on, you can tell the state the Room Alert 3 Wi-Fi is in by looking at these 2 LEDs.
Unit First Powered On
Unit Connected To Default IP Address (Soft AP)
Unit Connected To Your Wireless Network
When you first power on the unit, the right S LED blinks once quickly.
When the unit is connected only to the default IP address of 192.168.0.1 (the ‘soft AP’), the LEDs are once again unlit.
You will see the LEDs in this state when you are first setting up the Room Alert 3 Wi-Fi before it has connected to your wireless network.
Once the Room Alert 3 Wi-Fi has connected to your wireless network, the left L LED lights up solidly. The right S LED remains dark.
