If you have purchased a Room Alert Monitor from a reseller, or if your organization has multiple locations, you may need to transfer a Room Alert Monitor from one Room Alert Account to another.
You may request that a Room Alert Monitor be transferred into your Room Alert Account by following these steps:
1. Log in to your account at RoomAlert.com.
In order to request a device transfer, you must log in as an Administrator or Operator. For more information, please see the “Types of user roles” section of our FAQ, How To Manage User Access To Your RoomAlert.com Account.
2. Select Devices in the navigation bar to the left of the screen. You’ll see the list of Room Alert Monitors that are already associated with your account in your Inventory tab.
3. Select Register Device.
4. When the Register New Device page appears:
– Enter the MAC address of the unit you’d like listed under your organization. For assistance locating the MAC address, please see this FAQ: Where To Find The MAC Address Of A Room Alert Monitor.
OR
– Enter the serial number of the unit. For assistance locating the serial number, please see this FAQ: Where To Find The Serial Number Of A Room Alert Monitor.
– Then select Register Device.
5. In the Device Transfer Request page that appears:
– You’ll see a notice that the Room Alert Monitor is assigned to another organization, along with the organization’s name.
– Select Request Transfer to send a request to that organization to approve the transfer of the device to your account.
6. You’ll then see a new tab under your Devices page: the Transfers tab. That tab will list each Room Alert Monitor you’ve requested to have transferred to your account.
7. When the current device owner approves your request, you’ll receive a confirmation email, and that Room Alert Monitor will then appear in your regular Inventory tab with the rest of your devices.

If you are using this client, you should configure the general SNMPv3 Credentials, but leave the Read / Write SNMPv3 Credentials section blank.
