How To Check Sensor Capacity Through Room Alert Account

Digital Ports

• Each Room Alert Monitor reports the precise type of digital sensor that is connected to each of its digital ports.
• If a digital sensor is connected, then Room Alert Account considers the port to be in-use.

Analog Ports

• The built-in analog ports on Room Alert 32E/S and Room Alert 12E/S units are disabled by default.
  • In order to get readings from an analog sensor, users must manually enable the port within the device’s firmware.
• If a device’s analog port is currently enabled, then Room Alert Account considers the port to be in-use.

Switch Ports

• On all Room Alert Monitors, switch ports are enabled by default within the firmware.
  • Upon connecting a switch sensor, users typically give the port a custom label to identify the sensor type.
• If a switch port has been given a custom label, then Room Alert Account considers the port to be in-use.
• Additionally, if a switch port is currently reading a closed state, Room Alert Account can be certain that something is connected to that port, and considers it to be in-use.

Light Tower & Relay Ports

• Light Tower and Relay ports are disabled by default within the Room Alert firmware.
  • In order to set up a Light Tower or Relay, users must manually enable it within the device’s firmware.
• If a Light Tower or Relay is currently enabled, then Room Alert Account considers the port to be in-use.
