In Device ManageR, you can quickly tell the status of individual sensors, as well as the general status of devices, by viewing the icons next to sensor and device names.
The following icons indicate the status of individual sensors:
– A gray circle means there are no thresholds configured for that sensor in Device ManageR or on the Room Alert.
– A green check mark means the sensor is in a clear state: it has not passed any threshold configured in Device ManageR or on the Room Alert.
– A red X means the sensor is in an alarm state: it has passed a threshold configured in Device ManageR and/or the Room Alert.
To view the sensor icons in Device ManageR:
1. Open Device ManageR in your web browser. You may open it by entering ‘localhost:8080’ or ‘<IP address of host system>:8080’ in your browser’s address bar.
2. Select Device Status in the navigation bar to the left of the screen.
3. Select your device from the list of discovered devices.
4. The icons will appear next to the sensor names in the Sensor Display tab, as shown below:
In this image, you can observe the following:
– The Internal Sensor does not have any threshold configured in Device ManageR or on the Room Alert.
– Ext Sensor 1 is in a clear state.
– Switch Sen 1 is in an alarm state.
The following icons indicate the general status of your devices:
– A gray circle with an X in it means the device is offline.
– A green circle means the device is in a clear state: no sensors have passed any thresholds configured in either Device ManageR or the Room Alert.
– A red circle means the device is in an alarm state: at least one sensor has passed a threshold configured in Device ManageR and/or the Room Alert.
– A yellow circle means that the Room Alert’s firmware is updating.
These icons are located next to the device name in the Discovered Devices list, as shown below:
In this image, you can observe the following:
– Example RA4E is offline.
– Example RA32E is in a clear state.
– Example RA3E is in an alarm state.

If you are using this client, you should configure the general SNMPv3 Credentials, but leave the Read / Write SNMPv3 Credentials section blank.
