Because your Room Alert Monitor is fully SNMP-compliant, you have the option to monitor it with a 3rd-party monitoring application capable of performing SNMP queries. By default, the Room Alert Monitor sends values to your SNMP monitoring application in 4-digit format: 78.55° F, for example, appears as 7855 in your SNMP application.
However, you may configure your Room Alert Monitor to send SNMP values in 2-digit format, if you prefer. Note that in 2-digit format, your values are truncated, not rounded to the nearest number: in this example, 78.55° F would appear as 78 in your SNMP application.
1. Open your Room Alert Monitor’s web interface. You may open the interface using Device Discovery, Device ManageR, or your account at RoomAlert.com. You may also type the IP address of the unit directly into the address bar of your web browser.
2. Select Settings in the navigation bar to the left.
3. Then select SNMP from the options below Settings.
4. Next to the Community Name field, select the Use 2 digit SNMP radio button.
5. Select Save Settings at the top or bottom of the page. Your Room Alert Monitor will automatically reboot and commit your changes.
