How To Acknowledge Triggered Alerts In Your RoomAlert.com Account (VIDEO) For organizations at the Professional level of RoomAlert.com or higher.

GoToMyDevices has been migrated to RoomAlert.com. Learn more in our article, GoToMyDevices Is Now RoomAlert.com.

If your organization’s Room Alert Account has been upgraded to the Professional level or higher, you have the option to acknowledge triggered alerts. This prevents further repetition of any configured actions.

You may view a video demonstration of acknowledging and commenting on alerts below.

Step 1: Open your alert's interface.

Follow these steps to open the alert’s interface:

1. Log in to your account at RoomAlert.com.

In order to acknowledge an alert, you must log in as an admin-level or operator-level user. For more information, please see the “Types of user roles” section of our FAQ, How To Manage User Access To Your RoomAlert.com Account.

2. Select Alerts from the navigation bar to the left.

3. In your Alert List tab, you’ll see a list of all of your configured alerts. Click on an alert to open its interface.

A triggered alert looks like this:

Step 2: Acknowledge the triggered alert.

Follow these steps to acknowledge a triggered alert:

1. First, select the Acknowledge button.

2. This will open the Acknowledge Alert window.

3. Here, you may choose to add an optional note, documenting, for example, who is responding to the alert or how they are responding.

4. Then, select Acknowledge again.

Each of the alert’s configured actions will receive one final notification that the alert has been acknowledged.

5. An acknowledged alert looks like this:

6. If you chose to write a note in step 3, it will appear in the Comments list, as shown below:

Note: Any of your organization’s assigned users can see:

– that the alert has been acknowledged

– the user that acknowledged it

– the time and date that this occurred, and

– any notes / comments that were logged
