Updated AVTECH Statement On Operations And COVID-19 Preparedness (March 23, 2020)

The State of Rhode Island continues to respond quickly to the COVID-19 pandemic, taking measured and systematic steps to reduce the spread and protect our cities and towns. We applaud the responsible steps they are taking to protect the health and well-being of our communities. Our guiding principle continues to be that the health and well-being of our employees, customers, suppliers and partners are of primary importance. We extend that to the well-being of the community in which our team lives and works.

AVTECH is fully operational as an essential business in RI.

With products installed in 186 countries and in every industry, our customers are depending on Room Alert more than ever to monitor their facilities and warn them of environment conditions that could cause damage or downtime. With many businesses running with reduced staffing or even working entirely remotely, Room Alert is a vital part of their business continuity plan at a time when many businesses are faced with immense and unprecedented challenges.

Further, we support thousands of essential businesses in life sciences, including hospitals, medical facilities, pharmaceutical companies and testing labs, as well as government institutions like the White House, Pentagon, Army Corp of Engineers, United Nations, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and many more. The products and services we provide to these essential organizations helps them continue to operate with confidence knowing that Room Alert is monitoring their most important assets and facilities.

We continue to instruct our team to follow the guidelines and best practices provided by the CDC which include hygiene, cleanliness, isolation when sick and social distancing recommendations. More details are on the CDC website and are updated regularly. Access to our facility is limited to employees only.

We have expanded our remote work capabilities in recent weeks. Those on our team who are able to work remotely have been encouraged to do so. Those on our team who remain at our facility are in an environment that is thoroughly cleaned daily and with excess spacing between workstations to follow best practices regarding social distancing guidelines. We continue to put employee health and wellness at the forefront and will continue to do what is in the best interest of our employees, their families, and the communities we live and work in.

Thank you again and take care.

Respectfully,

Richard J. Grundy

President  & COO
