AVTECH and Room Alert Support Cybersecurity Awareness During Cyber Week

Cybersecurity is an ever-present concern in today’s digital age. As our reliance on technology grows, so do the risks of cyber threats. Fortunately Cyber Week, a national initiative dedicated to raising awareness about cybersecurity threats and best practices, provides a platform for individuals and organizations to learn and protect themselves in today’s complicated landscape. AVTECH and Room Alert are proud to celebrate Cyber Week, presented by Cyber Scoop, during Cybersecurity Awareness Month.

Understanding Cyber Week

Cyber Week is an annual event that aims to educate and empower individuals and organizations to enhance their cybersecurity posture. It offers a variety of resources, including webinars, workshops and online content, to help people understand the latest cybersecurity threats, best practices and available tools. The initiative is designed to foster a more secure digital landscape by promoting awareness, knowledge and responsible online behavior.

Supporting Cyber Week’s Goals

As experts in business continuity and environment monitoring, AVTECH and Room Alert recognize the critical role these factors play in cybersecurity. Our proactive Room Alert solutions protect people, property, and productivity from 30% of all costly outage threats, ensuring the reliability and security of critical infrastructure. While traditional cybersecurity focuses on digital defenses, our Room Alert ecosystem takes a proactive approach that extends to the physical environment.

The Importance of Environment Monitoring in Cybersecurity

Environment factors can significantly impact the security and reliability of critical infrastructure. Temperature fluctuations, power outages, unexpected flood/water damage, and more can compromise the performance and security of IT equipment. AVTECH and Room Alert emphasize the importance of environmental monitoring in preventing hardware failures and irreversible data loss, which can have severe consequences for organizations.

Our Room Alert software supports the cybersecurity measures in our hardware by delivering features like:

  • Multi-factor Authentication: Provides an extra layer of security for users accessing their online Room Alert Account dashboard
  • SAML Single Sign-On: Streamlines access and enhances user experience.
  • Authenticated Firmware Updates: Ensures system integrity and reduces vulnerabilities.

By offering real-time monitoring and alerts, Room Alert empowers organizations to address a wide range of environmental threats before they escalate into cybersecurity vulnerabilities.

Our Commitment to Cybersecurity

AVTECH and Room Alert’s commitment to cybersecurity goes beyond Cyber Week. By providing comprehensive solutions that address both digital and physical security needs, we aim to empower organizations to take a proactive approach. By prioritizing environmental monitoring and staying informed about evolving threats, we can all contribute to a safer digital future.
