We continue to experience record growth at AVTECH, with many new customers choosing Room Alert to protect their most important facilities at assets in locations all over the world. We’re proud to say that Room Alert is now in use in 184 out of 196 countries, and we are adding new organizations of all sizes daily.
That growth comes with side effects, of course! We’ve had to expand our manufacturing, which is wonderful. Our employee base has grown as well, and will continue to do so.
Side note – are you in the Rhode Island/Massachusetts area? Take a look at some of our current open positions!
Another side effect from the growth we’ve been experiencing is the increase in traffic on our internal infrastructure and network. Not only are we supporting thousands of users on our RoomAlert.com platform, we’re also placing more of a load on our network simply due to the day-to-day processes here at AVTECH.
Because of the increased traffic and use across the board, we’ll be undergoing a company-wide upgrade of our infrastructure at the end of June and into July. This is being done to make sure we have the capacity for all of our employees to work at the highest level possible, and provide the absolute best experience for our users worldwide.
To ensure our IT team has the best opportunity to complete the upgrades successfully, AVTECH will be closing at 3PM EDT on Friday, June 30, and will re-open at 9AM EDT on Wednesday, July 5. This planned downtime will give our engineers plenty of time to complete and test all the infrastructure upgrades, and will also give our employees some well-earned downtime over the July 4th holiday here in the United States.
We anticipate any disruption to our users to be very minimal, and contained between the hours of 3PM – 5PM EDT on Friday, June 30. Actions potentially impacted may include new user and device registration, as well as some actions our Resellers undertake in the Reseller Portal. Many features in the Reseller Portal, including all marketing materials, resources, and documentation will still be available. Use of our RoomAlert.com web-based monitoring platform and our online store will not be impacted at all.
If you happen to run into any issues during that 2-hour window, please contact us and we’ll be happy to assist when we return to the office at 9AM EDT on Wednesday, July 5.
We’d like to thank all our users worldwide for their continued support! As we head into our 30th year in business, we are very appreciative of all the support and feedback they’ve provided. It’s been a big part in helping us make Room Alert the world’s most popular environment monitor for IT and facilities use.
To our users in the United States, we hope you have an enjoyable and safe Fourth of July holiday, and we look forward to a successful second half of 2017!
