How To Comment On Alerts In Your RoomAlert.com Account (VIDEO) For organizations at the Professional level of RoomAlert.com or higher.

GoToMyDevices has been migrated to RoomAlert.com. Learn more in our article, GoToMyDevices Is Now RoomAlert.com.

You can comment on an alert at any time—while it is in a clear, alarm, or acknowledged state—in order to document details about the sensor or the environment it’s monitoring. Each time a new comment is added, all of the alert’s configured actions are notified.

You may view a video demonstration of acknowledging and commenting on alerts below.

Follow these steps to comment on an alert through RoomAlert.com:

1. Log in to your account at RoomAlert.com.

In order to comment on an alert, you must log in as an admin-level or operator-level user. For more information, please see the “Types of user roles” section of our FAQ, How To Manage User Access To Your RoomAlert.com Account.

2. Select Alerts from the navigation bar to the left.

3. In your Alert List tab, you’ll see a list of all of your configured alerts. Click on an alert to open its interface.

4. Select the Comments tab toward the bottom of the alert interface.

5. Type your comment into the Add Comment field.

6. Then select Send.

7. Your comment will now appear in the list and can be viewed by any of your organization’s assigned users.

8. Each of the alert’s configured email actions will receive a notification about your comment. Any users that are watching the alert through the Room Alert App will also receive a notification.
