This month we are launching our newest feature on RoomAlert.com for Room Alert users on Professional Tier and above. We are introducing Room Alert Link! Room Alert Link communicates with Room Alert every minute to push your organization’s data so you can stay up to date on the conditions of your Room Alert devices more efficiently than ever before.
Room Alert Link is a brand new feature which can be found in the Devices tab of your Room Alert Account dashboard. We listened to our customer-base requests and are now delivering on the services you have been wanting! Room Alert Link runs as a Windows local service, just like our Device ManageR software. This service helps Room Alert users view information faster than ever before, such as Room Alert offline notifications and the ability to immediately refresh all sensor data.
Room Alert Link also allows users to update to the latest firmware versions with just a single click. Room Alert Link has a local web interface users can access if they are on the same network as Room Alert Link’s host computer. The local web interface will show users all discovered devices, updated discovery settings and Room Alert Link’s authorization key.
Room Alert Link runs as a local service just like our Device ManageR software platform and provides a secure connection to your Room Alert Account via SSL. This new feature helps to add another layer of security and data protection to your Room Alerts.
Room Alert Link will also show Room Alert’s online/ offline status within 1 minute of Device Discovery, providing faster notification alerts if your Room Alerts go offline for any reason. This was a highly requested feature from our users.
Room Alert Link offers a refresh button which allows users to update all sensor data immediately, making it easier than ever before to have an up to date view of all of your environment data in your Room Alert Account dashboard.
Room Alert Link includes a firmware update button that automatically downloads updates and installs them on all applicable Room Alerts on the network. With ‘one-click’ updating, you can make sure all of your Room Alerts have the latest firmware in a matter of minutes.
Soon, updated versions of Room Alert Link will include additional features, such as assistance with local troubleshooting that will help improve the day-to-day management of your hardware and help increase the ROI on your Room Alert environment monitors and sensors.
Room Alert Link will provide Room Alert users at the Professional tier and above with SSL Encryption, Online Status, Immediate Refresh, and Firmware Updates.
