How To Configure An Axis Camera Motion Detection Alert In Room Alert Manager

If you’re using an Axis camera with Room Alert Manager, you may configure alerts to notify you when the camera detects motion.

Before you begin:

First, configure your camera to notify Room Alert Manager when motion is detected. This FAQ shows you how: How To Configure Your Axis Camera To Send Images To Room Alert Manager When Motion Is Detected.

Please follow these instructions to set up an Axis Camera Motion Detection Alert:

1. Begin configuring your alert in Room Alert Manager. This FAQ shows you how: How To Create Alerts In Room Alert Manager.
2. In the When… section of your new alert:
   
   • In Choose Device, select the camera you wish to detect motion from.
   • In Choose Sensor, select Motion.
   • In Choose Channel, select Motion Detection.
   • In Choose Value, select either is Detected or is Not Detected, depending on when you’d like to be notified.
3. Then add actions to the Then… section of your alert.

4. When you’re done configuring your alert, select Save Changes.
