Accurately Monitor Air Flow For Fans, HVAC Vents & More – Digital Temperature & Air Flow Sensor

We’re excited to announce the launch of our new Digital Temperature & Air Flow Sensor! The Digital Temperature & Air Flow Sensor is a professionally designed sensor that monitors air flow (or lack of air flow) for fans and vents, such as HVAC vents, internal/external server exhaust fans, cooling fans, and dehumidifier fans. Previously, our Air Flow Sensor only provided an on/off switch status. The massive improvements made to the Digital Temperature & Air Flow Sensor allows it to report on the actual velocity and optionally volume of air flow coming out of a vent or duct. Now with the Digital Temperature & Air Flow Sensor, users have much more accurate readings and can be alerted to real-time recognition of impacted air flow, which could mean a potential problem, blockage, or more.

How Does The Digital Temperature & Air Flow Sensor Work?

When air flows through the Digital Temperature & Air Flow Sensor, air speed readings are communicated to your Room Alert via a digital sensor port. To set up this sensor, all you have to do is simply provide the dimensions of the vent being monitored. Room Alert will calculate the air flow readings for you. The Digital Temperature & Air Flow Sensor can also calculate the CFM (Cubic feet per minute) which is a measure of volume used to indicate an air compressor’s output rate in terms of cubic feet of air per minute of operation. Because the Digital Temperature & Air Flow Sensor has temperature monitoring capabilities, it can also monitor a wide range of -40 degrees Fahrenheit to 185 degrees Fahrenheit (-40 degrees Celsius to 85 degrees Celsius). This sensor is fully compatible with all current Room Alert monitors, with a simple firmware update.

Our team is extremely proud of all the hard work that went into developing the Digital Temperature & Air Flow Sensor. This sensor is the best of its kind, superior monitoring solution for preventing costly downtime in various settings.

Monitoring A/Cs, Heating Systems & HVAC Vents

The Digital Temperature & Air Flow Sensor can be installed anywhere that poor air flow could negatively affect your customers, employees, inventory, critical equipment/assets or business’s reputation. Fans and vents such as HVAC units in data centers, warehouses, and residential spaces can all benefit from the Digital Temperature & Air Flow Sensor because proactive monitoring will help prevent downtime and damage while ensuring people and products are safe.

For example, the Digital Temperature & Air Flow Sensor can detect if the A/C or heating system turns on or off. When Room Alert detects this change in the environment, you will be promptly notified via text or email. Or you could install Room Alert for HVAC monitoring. You can put one Digital Temperature & Air Flow Sensor on each end of an HVAC to help monitor for any discrepancies in air flow from different points in your facility. This will help make sure you are getting equal air flow everywhere. This method also improves your temperature monitoring capabilities, which is extremely critical because temperature is the most important environmental condition for businesses and facilities to monitor, as it leads to 35% of all environmental downtime. Whether you are concerned with environmental downtime, employee safety, customer comfort, or compliance with CDC, EPA, NWS, ASHRAE & OSHA guidelines, the Digital Temperature & Air Flow Sensor is the perfect environment monitoring solution.

Digital Temperature & Air Flow Sensor With Monitor360

The Digital Temperature & Air Flow Sensor was designed to pair perfectly with our Monitor360 technology. Monitor360 is a patented technology that provides a comprehensive 360-degree view of the facility or environment by combining existing single sensor readings into composite virtual sensors. Found in our online Room Alert Account dashboard, users can utilize Monitor360 to report the average, maximum or minimum temperature across a number of sensors or to determine if conditions across a set of sensors are met or not met.

With the Digital Temperature & Air Flow Sensor installed on your HVAC system, you can take comfort in knowing that you will be alerted to any environmental change in your facility such as a lack of air flow or a spike in temperature. With Monitor360, you can create your own composite virtual sensors that will provide valuable insights and context. Monitor360 technology dramatically helps you in understanding the reason why you received an alert notification.
