Room Alert App Feature Release: New User & New Device Registration

Earlier this year, our team was thrilled to announce the launch of our Room Alert mobile app. The Room Alert app rounds out the Room Alert ecosystem with a mobile-first approach. Creating the app was a massive undertaking for our in-house Engineering team, and we are proud to maintain consistency in the look and functionality of Room Alert Account and Room Alert Manager, while adding capabilities to support mobile users worldwide. Now, we are excited to introduce our latest feature release: new user and new device registration!

Creating New User Accounts Within Room Alert App

Previously if a Room Alert customer wanted to create their user profile or register a new device, they had to do so through the Room Alert Account online platform. That means in order to access the Room Alert app, users needed to already have an existing account and registered devices. Now you can easily create a new Room Alert account, as well as register new Room Alert devices, all within the app. Creating your user profile in the Room Alert app is as simple as providing an email address.

Registering New Devices Within Room Alert App

Registering a new device in the app is equally straightforward; just use your phone’s camera to scan the sticker on the bottom of your device where the MAC address is located. Room Alert will automatically identify the serial number of the device and add it to your registered list of devices without needing to do anything further. It has never been easier to register your devices now that typing out each device’s MAC address or serial number is no longer required.

Our team invested significant time and effort into ensuring a seamless and user-friendly experience in the Room Alert app, adding features such as instant push notifications and real-time alert conversations. Instant Push Notifications are clickable messages that pop up on a mobile device. Instant Push Notifications are clickable messages that appear on a mobile device, providing the easiest way to deliver important and time-sensitive information directly to mobile devices. With real-time notifications enabled on your phone, critical data won’t become buried in your email inbox. Instant push notifications support better communication for you and your team to stay informed on the environment conditions within your facilities.

Exclusive to the Room Alert app, real-time alert conversations are a real-time chat interface where Room Alert users can talk to their team members. This encourages customers to troubleshoot and coordinate a response to triggered alerts efficiently to prevent costly unplanned outages. For example, you can receive a push notification that informs you that the heat index in your warehouse is creeping outside of OSHA recommended temperature range of 68 degrees to 78 degrees Fahrenheit (20 degrees to 25 degrees Celsius). You can interact with other users in the app to address the situation. Once corrective action is taken, you can promptly acknowledge the alert and clear it so that others are able to see that the problem was resolved.

Our team is already hard at work developing more feature releases for the future. Be sure to download the mobile app now and begin protecting your critical assets with Room Alert today.
