How To Configure Repeat Actions In Room Alert Manager

In Room Alert Manager, you can configure your alert actions to repeat at a chosen interval, and cap the number of repetitions if desired.

Follow these steps to configure your actions to repeat:

1. Open Room Alert Manager in your web browser.
   • You may open it by entering ‘localhost:9393’ or ‘<IP address of host system>:9393’ in your browser’s address bar. For more information, please see our FAQ, How to Open Room Alert Manager’s Web Interface.
2. In order to create or edit alerts in Room Alert Manager, you must log in as an admin-level or manager-level user.

3. Select Alerts in the navigation bar to the left to open the Alerts page.
   
4. Next, select the alert that includes the actions you wish to repeat.
   
5. Then select the Edit Alert button to open the Alert Form.
   
6. Scroll to the Then… section, which contains the alert actions.
   
7. Select the Repeat Interval checkbox next to the action you wish to repeat.
   • Enter an interval (in minutes) to set how frequently the action will repeat. We’ve configured our action to repeat every 10 minutes.
     
8. (Optional) You may cap the number of times the action is performed by selecting the Max Repeat check box.
   • Enter a maximum number of repeats in the field. In our example, we’ve capped the repetitions at 3.
     
9. Then, select Save Changes at the bottom of the screen.
   
10. In our example, when the alert is triggered, we will receive one “Alert Triggered” notification.
    
11. We’ll then receive an “Ongoing Alert” reminder every 10 minutes, which will stop after 3 times.
