AVTECH’s Yearly Review: What Our 2024 Looked Like
2024 was a year of significant growth and achievement for AVTECH. Our team successfully adapted to unforeseen challenges throughout 2024, demonstrating unwavering dedication and innovation. We’re proud to celebrate the incredible efforts and progress our team has made. As we set our sights on 2025, we want to take a moment to look back on where we’ve been, acknowledge where we stand today and share our vision for the future. Here’s a look at some of the key milestones that defined 2024 for AVTECH and Room Alert!
January
- COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT: We started the new year off right by hosting a blood drive with the Rhode Island Blood Center on January 8th.
- NEW PROGRAM: Our team announced the launch of our Room Alert Referral Program, where customers can enjoy exciting rewards while helping us extend the Room Alert family to their peers and colleagues.
- OSHA: Room Alert was prepared to help businesses meet OSHA’s stricter compliance standards from the moment they were implemented in January.
February
- NOTABLE CUSTOMERS: Organizations such as The Department of Homeland Security, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Columbia University and the NHL chose Room Alert to monitor their most important assets.
- SUSTAINABILITY: We discussed how Room Alert can support sustainability initiatives for businesses, facilities and organizations of all kinds and sizes.
March
- CELEBRATION: Room Alert celebrated International Data Center Day with 7×24 Exchange International by highlighting the critical role data centers play in our increasingly digital world.
- AWARD: AVTECH Software was proudly named one of the Top 50 Most Innovative Companies To Watch 2024 by CEO Views Magazine.
- TEAM ACHIEVEMENT: Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island awarded the AVTECH team with the highest Wellness Premium Reward Reimbursement for 2023. This equates to an 8% reimbursement, which allows us to offset the impact of our health insurance costs for 2024.
April
- INTERNSHIP AWARENESS MONTH: We celebrated Internship Awareness Month. At AVTECH, many of our interns stay as long-standing employees. In fact, our President and CEO Richard Grundy started as an intern!
- STOCK UPDATE: Our team frequently releases “Stock Update” articles to keep Room Alert users informed regarding Room Alert inventory.
May
- HEAT SAFETY: We celebrated National Integrated Heat Health Information System (NIHHIS) Heat Safety Awareness Week to urge businesses and workers to take necessary steps to protect themselves from the risks associated with high temperatures.
- AIR SAFETY: Room Alert also celebrated the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Air Quality Awareness Week to highlight the value of understanding air quality and how it impacts our lives.
- BUSINESS CONTINUITY: AVTECH recognized the importance of business continuity through being an active participant in Business Continuity & Resilience Awareness Week (BCAW+R).
June
- OSHA: On June 20th, California’s Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board passed a revised set of heat standard regulations, designed to protect indoor workers from health-threatening temperatures. Our Room Alert Guidance features make it exceptionally easy to follow these Cal/OSHA as well as federal OSHA regulations.
- COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT: We held another blood drive with the Rhode Island Blood Center on June 27th. There were 16 successful donations which helped to save 48 lives.
July
- HEATWAVE: Less than a month into summer, the vast majority of the U.S. population experienced an extreme heatwave. As those heatwaves affected millions, Room Alert stood as the superior choice for safeguarding critical assets from heat safety threats.
- AWARD: AVTECH & Room Alert were honored as the Best Global Environment Monitoring Solutions Provider 2024 by Corporate Vision Magazine in their prestigious 2024 awards issue.
- SPONSORSHIP: Our team announced that Room Alert advanced & secure environment monitoring is The BCI Gold Corporate Sponsor!

September
- PREPAREDNESS: AVTECH celebrated National Preparedness Month to serve as a reminder of the critical importance of being prepared for disasters or emergencies.
- MILESTONE: September 2024 marked a significant milestone for us as we celebrated the sixth anniversary of our first international distribution facility in Shannon, Ireland.
- AIR SAFETY: We designed the Room Alert Indoor Air Quality Monitor, a comprehensive solution that empowers facility managers to monitor and control critical air quality factors before they escalate into serious problems.
October
- CYBERSECURITY: Room Alert celebrated National Cybersecurity Awareness Month as an opportunity to reinforce the importance of protecting our personal and business data from cyber threats.
- AWARD: AVTECH was recognized by the Providence Business News as the winner of their Overall Excellence at a Small Manufacturer award as part of their prestigious 2024 PBN Manufacturing Awards program.
- TRADE SHOW: Our trade show team attended GITEX Global 2024 in the Dubai World Trade Center (a Room Alert customer).
November
- PROMOTION: Starting November 1st through December 31st, we offered two exciting promotions on Room Alert hardware and software!
- WEBINAR: We presented a webinar with the IT Community of IFMA regarding how environment monitoring can revolutionize facilities’ approach to staff well-being.
December
- HEAT SAFETY: Nevada implemented new heat illness regulations to safeguard workers and Room Alert stands ready to support businesses in adapting to these stricter regulations.
- NOTABLE CUSTOMERS: Our team proudly served customers like Michelin, Caltech, Notre Dame, NASA and the University of Houston.
