How To Unlock Users In Room Alert Manager

Excessive failed login attempts will cause a user to get locked out of Room Alert Manager for a chosen period of time if the software’s Failed Login Limit setting is enabled.

For information about enabling this setting, please see this FAQ: How to Manage Security Settings in Room Alert Manager.

An administrator can unlock a user’s profile, so that they don’t need to wait the lockout period before they attempt to sign in again.

Follow these steps to unlock a user:

  1. Open Room Alert Manager in your web browser.
  2. In order to reset another user’s password, you must log in as an admin-level user.
  3. Go to Settings–>Users/Groups in the navigation bar to the left. The Users tab will open by default.
  4. Locate the locked user; you’ll see a padlock icon beside their name.
  5. Click the ellipses beside that user, and then select Unlock User.
  6. You’ll see a confirmation message that the user was successfully unlocked.

That user can immediately attempt to log in to their account again.

If this user does not know their password, you may generate a password reset token for them by following the instructions in this FAQ: How To Set Or Reset Your Password In Room Alert Manager.
