Since launching the patented, award winning Digital Active Power Sensor w/ Temperature in 2017, it has quickly become one of our most popular sensors. Due to its popularity, we decided to include a Digital Active Power Sensor w/ Temperature in our standard Room Alert 32S/32E and Room Alert 12S/12SR/12E/12ER monitoring packages to further help our Room Alert users protect their assets from downtime. Roughly 25% of all costly environmental downtime is caused by unexpected power outages and power loss. Our Digital Active Power Sensor w/ Temperature works to prevent and minimize the impact of this kind of downtime by providing peace of mind that even when no one is on-site, Room Alert is overseeing the real-time power status of any electric device. To set it up, you simply strap the sensor to the outside of any AC electrical cord. There is no need to unplug the device, modify the cord, or hire an electrician to connect within a main panel. The design of this sensor makes it extremely easy to monitor any electric device.
Our Digital Active Power Sensor w/ Temperature can be used in data centers, on HVAC units, sump pumps, for cold storage in restaurants, grocery stores, laboratories, medical facilities and more. Essentially any setting where you want to be sure your equipment and facilities are receiving power would benefit from this sensor because unexpected power outages can happen anywhere, at any time. An unexpected power outage in a data center can lead to HVAC failure, servers overheating and irreversible data loss that you may never recover from. In a restaurant, unexpectedly power loss can lead to thousands of dollars in damage, costly repairs and maybe even force you to close your doors for good. Over the years and across various applications, we’ve seen time and time again how the Digital Active Power Sensor w/ Temperature increases uptime and helps keep your facilities running.
AVTECH is currently starting to see the first major impacts of the global supply chain crunch on our product line as it pertains to our Digital Active Power Sensor w/ Temperature. The specific integrated circuit (IC) that is used to detect changes to the electrical current flowing through a cable may not be available for an extended period of time.
Our team is working diligently to explore alternatives, however until we find a suitable solution or until the specific chip we use becomes readily available, we are prioritizing the available inventory of Digital Active Power Sensor w/ Temperature Sensors for customers purchasing them in addition to their standard Room Alert purchase. Effective immediately, all Room Alert monitors that were previously packaged with the Digital Active Power Sensor w/ Temperature, including the Room Alert 12S/12E and Room Alert 32S/32E will now include a Digital Temperature & Humidity Sensor instead, until further notice. The Digital Temperature & Humidity Sensor provides high value to users by providing four readings in one sensor package, including temperature, humidity, heat index and dew point.
We do still have inventory of the Digital Active Power Sensor w/ Temperature available for purchase.
