Our Digital Temperature & Air Flow Sensor is a professionally designed sensor that monitors air flow (or lack of air flow) for fans and vents, such as HVAC vents, internal/external server exhaust fans, cooling fans, dehumidifier fans, and other locations where consistent and reliable air flow is critical. Its accuracy is truly unmatched, as the Digital Temperature & Air Flow Sensor is able to report on the actual velocity and optionally volume of air flow coming out of a vent or duct.
When air flows through the Digital Temperature & Air Flow Sensor, air speed readings are communicated to your Room Alert via a digital sensor port. The Digital Temperature & Air Flow Sensor measures air speed in meters per second (m/s) and Room Alert calculates the air flow in CFM or cubic feet of air per minute of operation based on the dimensions of the duct entered by the user. Additionally, the Digital Temperature & Air Flow Sensor can oversee temperatures from -40 degrees Fahrenheit to 185 degrees Fahrenheit (-40 degrees Celsius to 85 degrees Celsius).
With this sensor installed in your facilities, you will be promptly alerted to real-time recognition of impacted air flow. Room Alert keeps you in the know and helps prevent the 30% of costly downtime that is caused by environmental factors such as temperature and air flow.
Perhaps the most ideal application for the Digital Temperature & Air Flow Sensor is in HVAC monitoring. HVAC is a major contributor to the maintenance and energy-related operating expenses of a facility. Without the proper HVAC monitoring in place, an issue such as a blockage may go undetected for weeks. The Digital Temperature & Air Flow Sensor helps you identify potential problems and take corrective action in real-time before costly and irreversible damage occurs. Room Alert can notify you via text or email of a failing HVAC unit, as well as help to reduce operational costs, and help you save yourself thousands of dollars in repairs. As far as preventative maintenance goes, Room Alert can also help predict if or when future issues may arise.
You can install the Digital Temperature & Air Flow Sensor to monitor ducts for air speed range as well as temperature of the air flow, which directly impacts the quality of the air. Air quality is critical, as it can affect your customers, employees, inventory, critical equipment/assets or business’s reputation. In terms of reducing operation costs, having the Digital Temperature & Air Flow Sensor on your HVAC system helps reduce heating and cooling costs which increases the ROI (return on investment) on your HVAC equipment. For example, install the Digital Temperature & Air Flow Sensor in your data center to ensure proper air flow, as well as ensure that the equipment in your data center has sufficient cooling to avoid costly downtime. Overheating can cause massive IT failures and negatively impact your whole business operation.
Whether you are concerned with reducing operation costs, preventing HVAC downtime, employee safety, customer comfort, or compliance with CDC, EPA, NWS, ASHRAE & OSHA guidelines, the Digital Temperature & Air Flow Sensor is the perfect environment monitoring solution.
The Digital Temperature & Air Flow Sensor was designed to pair perfectly with our Monitor360 technology. Monitor360 is a patented technology that provides a comprehensive 360-degree view of the facility or environment by combining existing single-sensor readings into composite virtual sensors. With the Digital Temperature & Air Flow Sensor installed on your HVAC system, you are given peace of mind that you will be alerted to any environmental change in your facilities such as a lack of air flow or a spike in temperature. With Monitor360, you can create your own composite virtual sensors that will provide valuable insights and context. For example, Monitor360 can calculate the difference between two sensor readings. This could be the air speed of the intake versus the exhaust of an HVAC, allowing you to easily detect potential filter clogs indicated by a reduction in flow between the intake and exhaust sides. Or, measure the difference between air flow at different vents in an HVAC zone, easily identifying imbalances in the system that can be addressed. Monitor360 technology dramatically helps you in understanding the reason why you received an alert notification.
