Room Alert was designed for easy installation, and our users have reported that they were able to begin monitoring environment conditions within a matter of minutes after taking their Room Alert out of its box.
All Room Alerts have built in temperature, and some of our larger units have built-in humidity monitoring as well. We also ship Room Alert with the cables, cords, and features that users will need based on their own facility and situation.
Over time we learned that many users who were purchasing the Room Alert 12E/ER or Room Alert 32E/W needed to monitor a much larger area than someone who was purchasing a Room Alert 3E. Due to that need, our Room Alert 12E/ER and Room Alert 32E/W have traditionally been bundled with two external sensors provided in the base price of the unit, which allow users to extend their monitoring capabilities right out of the box.
Thanks to the introduction of the award-winning Digital Active Power Sensor, which monitors both power as well as temperature, AVTECH will now be shipping all Room Alert 12E/ER and Room Alert 32E/W models with the new Digital Active Power Sensor instead of the previously bundled two sensors, beginning immediately.
This move allows users to continue to monitor the same environment factors as before (power and temperature), and it now provides the benefit of freeing up an additional external sensor port, as only one external sensor will be required to monitor two separate environment factors. This will allow users to expand their monitoring capabilities even more!
Previous Package | New Package |
Room Alert 12E/ER with external Digital Temperature and Power Sensors | Room Alert 12E/ER with external Digital Active Power Sensor |
Room Alert 32E/W with external Digital Temperature and Room Entry Sensors | Room Alert 32E/W with external Digital Active Power Sensor |
By including the award-winning Active Power Sensor with the above Room Alerts, users will be able to take advantage of power and temperature monitoring at the same time through the same sensor, while increasing the capacity of their Room Alert 12E/ER or Room Alert 32E/W by one additional sensor vs. the previous external sensor package.
Early adoption of the Active Power Sensor has exceeded our expectations, and we feel that users who receive the Active Power Sensor with their Room Alert will see its advantages immediately.
If your organization already has Room Alerts installed to protect your data center or facility against environment-related downtime and you’d like to take advantage of the new Active Power Sensor, don’t forget that we still have a “Buy 2, Get 1 FREE” promotion running until October 31, 2017. Just head over to our online store to purchase the number of Active Power Sensors you’ll need to monitor your mission-critical equipment, and for every two you purchase, we’ll include one more free of charge.
