Knowledge Base / News
Our Enterprise tier of Room Alert Account was created with large businesses, facilities and companies in mind. Room Alert Account is an online dashboard where Room Alert users can easily monitor their environment conditions, create custom reports, view maps of their registered devices, configure advanced alert notifications, and so much more. For our customers on Enterprise, you gain access to everything listed above with increased capabilities along with Enterprise-exclusive features.
Also, our amazing team is always developing new additions to improve the user experience in Room Alert Account, and of course, our Enterprise customers receive access to that. Most recently we’ve added assigning user roles, external sensor capacity, sensor data & reports for compliance and worker safety, and order lookup functionality.
Whether your organization requires you to take strict cybersecurity measures or to oversee a large number of users, Enterprise tier Room Alert Account is the ideal solution for the online management of all of your Room Alert monitors, sensors and accessories.
Our Enterprise tier offers increased capacity on several of our most popular Room Alert Account features such as
If you have more than one facility, or a large facility spread over a significant area or space, then you will greatly benefit from the high capacities on Enterprise. If you are mandated to follow specific data history requirements then Enterprise is perfect for data retention for up to 1 year. Or if you have a large team of employees who either need access to sensor data or need to receive alert notifications, Enterprise is the tier for you.
One of our most popular Enterprise-exclusive features in Room Alert Account is the ability to assign user roles to each individual registered user. Assigning user roles is a great management tool for controlling exactly what the registered users in your Room Alert Account have access to. There are five types of user roles: Administrator, Provisioner, Operator, Viewer and Billing.
An Administrator has full access to all features and settings within Room Alert Account. A Provisioner has access to manage non-Administrator level users on the account. An Operator has full access to all devices, alerts, data groups, downloads, etc. but cannot access the Manage Account Settings. A Viewer has read-only access to these sections of Room Alert Account: Devices, Monitor360, Guidance, Alerts, and Sensor Data & Reporting. A user with a Billing role has full access to the account’s subscription/billing information but cannot access any other features or settings within Room Alert Account.
With Enterprise tier Room Alert Account, you have full control over what data every person in your organization can view. For example, you can assign give temporarily limited access to a new hire or assign the most suitable user role to an entire department that only needs specific information.
Our SAML & Single-Sign-On (SSO) functionality is another Enterprise-exclusive feature in Room Alert Account. SAML & Single-Sign-On adds convenience for users, is highly secure and helps customers maintain industry compliance. With SAML & Single-Sign-On, your employees won’t need to memorize a long list of passwords for their different accounts. They can seamlessly access multiple applications without needing to worry about login credentials. Therefore, your employees remain productive without needing to bother the IT department with resetting passwords.
In terms of security measures, since employees only need to remember one password for all of their applications, they are more likely to create complex and hard-to-guess passphrases. Employees are also less likely to reuse passwords or write them down, which reduces the risk of theft. Additionally, because your employees won’t need to maintain passwords for every web app they need access to, there is a dramatically decreased risk of exposing passwords to those web apps. SAML & Single-Sign-On can also help companies with meeting some of their industry regulations for security and cybersecurity.
SAML & Single-Sign-On offers centralized user management to your company. Administrators can centrally control requirements such as password complexity, and quickly relinquish login privileges across the board when an employee leaves your organization.
If you are a company that is already using SSO, then once you configure it for our online Room Alert Account, any employees assigned to that Room Alert Account will only be able to log in through SAML. Your employees will no longer need to access Room Alert Account through RoomAlert.com with a password.
Our SAML & Single-Sign-On features on Enterprise tier Room Alert Account are critical in helping to increase productivity, decrease costly downtime and follow industry best practices.
We offer Lifetime Room Alert Account access for users on the Professional, Enterprise and Ultimate tiers.
