AVTECH’s Yearly Review: What Our 2023 Looked Like

It is that time of the year once again where we like to look back and think about the previous year. We are recapping 2023 by recognizing the amazing effort and progress we’ve made in spite of unexpected, global challenges thrown our way. As we look ahead to 2024 and what the future holds for AVTECH, our team wants to take the opportunity to reflect a bit on where we’ve been, where we are and where we’re going. Here are some brief highlights of our major milestones from 2023.

January

• PROMOTION: We started the new year off right by announcing the launch of our new Room Alert bundles with a limited-time promo.
• AWARD: We also announced our first award win of 2023 when we were named a 2022 Backup and Disaster Recovery Award recipient, presented by Cloud Computing magazine.
• RESELLER MILESTONE: AVTECH acquired OpenXTRA, a dedicated and successful authorized AVTECH reseller for nearly 20 years.

February

• MEDIA MILESTONE: AVTECH Software and Room Alert environment monitoring were featured in “World’s Greatest!” program on Bloomberg Network, showcasing our leading position in the environment monitoring space.
• NOTABLE CUSTOMERS: Organizations such as The Yankee Entertainment and Sports (YES) Network, Iowa State, L’oreal, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and National Hockey League chose Room Alert to monitor their most important assets.

March

• AVTECH ANNIVERSARY: We announced the celebration of 2023 as AVTECH Software’s 35th anniversary!
• COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT: We hosted a blood drive with the Rhode Island Blood Center. Did you know that every 2 seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood or platelets?
• VIDEO: Endless Monitoring Possibilities With Patented Monitor360 Technology showcased how our patented Monitor360 technology provides a comprehensive 360-degree view of the facility or environment by combining existing single sensor readings into composite virtual sensors.

April

• INTERNSHIP AWARENESS MONTH: We celebrated April as National Internship Awareness Month by promoting our internship and student work opportunities with AVTECH.
• TRADE SHOW: Our trade show team exhibited at ConnexFM in Dallas/ Fort Worth, TX to help facilities managers learn about protecting their people, property & productivity with Room Alert.

May

• NEW PLATFORM: We announced the launch of our brand-new Room Alert mobile app. Our mobile-first platform makes it easier and more convenient than ever to monitor your environment from any Apple or Android device.
• HEAT SAFETY: We celebrated National Integrated Heat Health Information System (NIHHIS) Heat Safety Awareness Week by highlighting the many ways Room Alert can be used to encourage heat safety.
• NOTABLE CUSTOMERS: We were proud to have notable organizations as customers like Caltech, the U.S. Navy, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), NASA and Disney.

June

• FEATURE RELEASE: Our team launched native SMS alert notifications in Room Alert Account. Native SMS alert notifications are exceptionally user-friendly and the superior solution for our international Room Alert customers.
• AWARD: During the Providence Business News 2023 Best Places To Work awards ceremony, AVTECH Software was awarded third place within the Small Business category.

July

• AWARD: Room Alert was named the “Environment Monitoring Solutions Provider of the Year – USA” by International Elite 100 Magazine in their Summer 2023 edition.
• LEADERSHIP: AVTECH was pleased to announce the promotion of our President & Chief Operating Officer, Richard Grundy, to President & Chief Executive Officer effective July 15th, 2023.

• HEAT SAFETY: We saw an increase in sales of our Digital Temperature & Air Flow Sensor due to prolonged heat waves and record high temperatures across the world.

August

• AWARD: Our team was honored as having one of the 2023 Best HR Teams in America by the Best Companies Group.
• NOTABLE CUSTOMERS: We proudly served customers such as NOAA, HP, UCLA, Lucasfilm and the U.S. Army.

September

• PROMOTION: AVTECH ran its biggest, limited-time “Buy 3, Get 1 FREE” promotion in honor of our 35th anniversary.
• AWARDS: We were recognized by 3 publications; Room Alert was named Leading Environment Software in the 2023 Corporate Excellence Awards, AVTECH was a Go Global Awards 2023 Finalist and AVTECH & Room Alert were named the 2023 Most Innovative Monitoring Solutions Provider in North America.
• TEAM BUILDING: AVTECH held a fun team-building event at R1 Indoor Karting ft. TimeMission, Dart City & AxeBar in Lincoln, RI. We are grateful for each and every one of our team members and we take pride in hosting get-togethers that generate memorable moments.

October

• FEATURE RELEASE: We were excited to introduce our latest feature release in the Room Alert mobile app: new user and new device registration!
• TRADE SHOW: Our trade show team attended GITEX Global 2023 in the Dubai World Trade Center (a Room Alert customer). It was a huge success, as we had more customers, prospects, and resellers visit our booth this year than ever before!

November

• AWARD: AVTECH attended the 2023 Go Global Awards ceremony, held at the Omni Hotel in Providence, RI and received the PROPERTYTECH ORGANIZATION AWARD.
• PRESERVING U.S. HISTORY: Room Alert became a trusted guardian of historical monuments and constructions, exemplified by its role in helping to preserve the iconic Montauk Point Lighthouse, one of the oldest lighthouses in the U.S.
• PROMOTION: We ended the year by offering our limited-time Lifetime Room Alert Account promotion.

December

• AWARD: Room Alert was recognized as one of four exemplary companies of the “2023 Smart Buildings Innovation” awards, presented by IOT Evolution World.
• TEAM BUILDING: To kick off the holiday season, we held our annual “Ugly Sweater” contest & holiday potluck.
