Additionally, all Room Alert monitors use purpose built firmware that was developed and supported by our Engineering team at AVTECH. Room Alert monitor firmware does not use common operating systems or “off the shelf” utilities that have the potential to be exploited by external factors. Room Alert runs very specific firmware that is designed to only provide the functions the devices need to monitor and report on environment factors. For more information, please see:

When GDPR standards were introduced in the European Union, we undertook extensive research into the requirements and updated all our internal policies to ensure that we are in GDPR compliance. Security and data privacy starts with your employees, no matter what type or size organization you are. Every AVTECH employee is required to undergo ongoing security training throughout the year so our team is cognizant of current potential threats, how to recognize them, and how to ensure our data and network remains secure.
We also work with an external security & data privacy management vendor to audit our network, processes and policies in an ongoing manner to ensure we meet accepted standards and certifications. It is our goal to maintain as secure a network as possible to protect our staff and our customer data from external threats.
Security is never a “set and forget” process for AVTECH with our internal policies as well as our Room Alert hardware and software, including our online Room Alert Account dashboard as well as our local Room Alert Manager software. You can rest assured that we continue to make security a priority and pledge to our customers that we will always do our best to protect them in every way we can.
