As the world begins to readjust to a new sense of normalcy, many businesses are debating whether or not to reopen their offices, businesses and other shared spaces. For those who decide to start opening back up again, in any capacity, it is extremely important to thoroughly review proactive steps that can be taken to reopen as safely as possible. Preventative measures are crucial to prioritizing the ultimate goal in reopening anything in 2021: keeping people & facilities safe. In addition to following social distancing guidelines, wearing masks, and cleaning routinely, offices and other spaces where people are regularly coming in and out need to take serious precautions.
AVTECH has been focused on Business Continuity & Environment Monitoring tools and services since 1988. Our team has a strong understanding of how to keep businesses safe from threats of downtime due to the environment, weather, health & safety concerns and more. Taking from the lessons we learned in 2020 and our over 30 years of experience, we have an extensive line of environment monitors, sensors, accessories & services to ensure that all businesses & facilities using Room Alert are protected in the new year.
The unexpected challenges we all faced in 2020 have reminded us all of the importance of environment monitoring because it helps to prevent and minimize costly environment-related downtime & damages. Proactive Environment monitoring is the most effective way to prevent the 30% of environment-related downtime that lead businesses and organizations to lost revenue, lost productivity and bankruptcy. Room Alert environment monitoring protects your office spaces from concerns due to temperature, humidity, power loss, flooding, fire and more.
Our line of Room Alert monitors come in varying sizes and sensor capacities so no matter what the size of your environment or facility is, you can find a solution that is perfect for you. In 2020, we launched our Room Alert PRO line of monitors which offers our highest capacity & highest performance environment monitoring ever. We launched this line with certain businesses and industries in mind such as banks, higher education institutions, government, military and telecom facilities. Depending on the specifics of what your office building needs, you may require a large capacity monitor such as the Room Alert 32S or a more compact option such as the Room Alert 3E.
If your office building needs to support a large number of users or if your organization manages a busy network, our Room Alert PRO line will provide you with the most advanced & secure environment monitoring. Our Room Alert 32S and Room Alert 12S both offer HTTPS/SSL web interface, SSL/TLS email notifications, Multiple versions of SNMP and more while following DFARS, NIST SP 800-171 and ISO/IEC 27000 best practices.
Once you have the proper Room Alert monitors for your application, you can then populate it with the appropriate sensors to increase productivity & uptime. Our Room Alert sensors easily plug into our Room Alert monitors to oversee various environment conditions.
We offer an ample variety of sensor options to cover all solutions, depending on the specific concerns that threaten productivity & uptime in your office building.
Our Room Alert accessories include additional tools for advanced prevention of environmental damages. Our Flood Protect & Control kits come with several materials for tackling water damage and flooding. The Flood Berms, Flood Barrier Mats, and Flood Cleanup Mats all work together before, during and after potential threats of downtime to soak up liquid and prevent irreversible damage. For example, you can have sensitive equipment in a data center or other space within your office building. You can set up our Flood kits to help prevent water damage, flooding, mold damage, data loss and more. A ⅛ inch pipe crack can leak 250 gallons in a day! Our Flood Berms, Flood Barrier Mats, and Flood Cleanup Mats work to soak up liquid before it spreads to sensitive areas causing equipment failure or downtime, as well as employee falls and injuries.
Our Light Tower w/Audio enhances the alerting capabilities of Room Alert by providing visual and audible alerting when an environment concern is detected. These tools work in conjunction with our Room Alert monitors & sensors to ensure your office never suffers from preventable downtime and damages.
Our Room Alert services link to Room Alert Account. This one-of-a-kind online portal is where users can register their Room Alert monitors and receive additional benefits to improve their environment monitoring. Room Alert Account offers a plethora of information where users can set up alerts on their sensors. This means a user can tell their Room Alert Account to text them if their Flood sensor detects the presence of water/liquid in the office data center. Reporting in Room Alert Account can show users a customizable graph of their sensor data and history. Users can also in their account see a list of their registered devices, Room Alert Link, our patented Monitor360 technology, advanced alerting and reporting options and so much more. Room Alert Account helps your office’s facility management team stay up to date on accurate information regarding the environmental conditions.
For example, say you want to use your Room Alert Account to increase productivity & uptime in your office. You can set up a map of all your registered devices so, at any given time, you can see the exact location of the Room Alert monitors in your building. You can set up, customize and view reports that graph your sensor data of temperature in your data centers. You can also set up advanced alerts. Alerting sets a threshold for your environment conditions. They can be customized with quiet times, multiple recipients, multiple actions and so much more. Say there is a Room Entry sensor mounted to the door that leads into your office’s data center. You can set up a custom alert with specific criteria. You can tell your Room Alert Account to notify you if the door is open for more than 5 minutes and the door is open between the hours of 7 pm and 7 am. If that situation does arise, you can set it to text or email the IT manager. By setting these proactive Business Continuity measures, you’re taking preventative steps to minimize costly & irreversible damages.
Our Room Alert monitors, sensors & accessories supported by our online Room Alert Account services provide our users with an all-encompassing solution to preventing and minimizing environment-related downtime.
Our Power Control & Management products work in addition to our Room Alert monitors & sensors to provide automatic corrective action. The iBoot IO can toggle nearly any electronic device on/off in response to conditions your Room Alert monitor triggers an alert on. For example, a high heat alert set up in your data center can trigger a backup HVAC unit to turn on. Likewise, a water leak alert can trigger a sump pump to engage even before you or your staff arrive onsite to take action. The iBoot G2S can easily power cycle devices, especially those in remote or unmanned locations with the iBoot G2S to increase availability and reliability.
These products are especially useful for your office’s facility management team for tackling problems remotely so downtime is minimized due to travel time or other pandemic-related challenges.
In 2020, we launched the Room Alert Mobile UV System. Unlike our traditional Room Alert products which serve to prevent environment-related downtime, the Room Alert Mobile UV System serves to prevent health & safety-related downtime. We learned due to the COVID-19 pandemic the value of routine sanitation and disinfection. Our Room Alert Mobile UV System works by inactivating viruses and killing bacteria found in the air and on surfaces. Our Room Alert UV technology is superior to anything else on the market due to its ease of use, affordability, effectiveness and portability. The value in proactive environment monitoring has been established for decades as we’ve seen the horrible impact that can come from omitting environment monitoring.
To keep your office safe, simply wheel the Room Alert Mobile UV System into a space that requires sanitation and plug it in. Turn it on and set the timer for the appropriate amount of UV-C dosage given the size of the space. The UV bulbs will illuminate and go to work tackling any detectable bacteria and viruses. Once the bulbs turn off, the room is immediately safe to enter and you can simply roll the Room Alert Mobile UV System on to the next location.
UV sanitation is a new and important part of any effective Business Continuity Plan because it takes preventative measures to ensure your team is safe, especially in these concerning times.
