AVTECH’s Yearly Review: What Our 2021 Looked Like

Just when we thought nothing could top the craziness of 2020, 2021 proved to have its own set of challenges. Though the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic were felt throughout the entire year, we’re proud to say that 2021 was a year of immense growth and success at AVTECH. Here are some brief highlights of our major milestones from this year.

January

NEW PRODUCT: We released the Digital Extreme Temperature Sensor, which is designed to monitor extreme temperatures required for cryogenic and pharmaceutical monitoring. This sensor can accurately monitor a range of -328 degrees Fahrenheit to 932 degrees Fahrenheit (-200 degrees Celsius to 500 degrees Celsius).

February

AWARD: AVTECH Software was named one of “The 20 Prospering Companies in the Pandemic” by Mirror Review.

PUBLICATION: We appeared in “Environmental Monitoring: The Key to Business Continuity” by Internet Telephony.

March

AWARD: Providence Business News announced AVTECH as their honoree for Excellence in Exporting in the 2021 PBN Manufacturing Awards.

AWARD: TMC announced that our Room Alert PRO Line was the 2021 INTERNET TELEPHONY Product of the Year.

April

MILESTONE: First anniversary of opening our first international sales office in Dubai. This location allows us to further support our authorized AVTECH resellers in the UAE and surrounding areas and time zones. 

PUBLICATION: We appeared in “Open Communication and Innovation” by Corporate Vision Magazine.

May

PROMOTION: Our Popular Flood Sensor Promotion gave a free Flood Sensor w/ 8’ Cable and a free Room Alert 3 Wi-Fi to qualifying purchases.

AWARD: Providence Business News named AVTECH as one of the 2021 Best Places to Work in Rhode Island.

TRADE SHOW: On May 27th, our team virtually attended Data Centre Congress.

AVTECH RESELLER PROGRAM: President & COO Richard Grundy (left) Founder & CEO Michael Sigourney and Reseller Channel Manager John Pinckney enjoy recognizing our AVTECH Resellers “All Times Sales” with Reseller Milestone Achievements Awards.

July

ARTICLES: We always try our best to educate customers on the dangers of high heat and humidity. Extreme temperatures can lead to a variety of potential threats such as mold damage and unexpected power outages.

August

SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT: We reinvested thousands of dollars into proactively strengthening our supply chain efforts, so we can be sure to always have Room Alert in stock and ready to ship to customers.

September

NEW PRODUCT: We launched the Room Alert 3S, our most economical & compact highly secure environment monitor.

TRADE SHOW: From September 14th to 17th, we attended Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEI) in London.

October

PUBLICATION: Our Founder & CEO Michael Sigourney appeared in “Michael Sigourney – Redefining Persistent Leadership With Prudency And Loyalty” by Business APAC Magazine.

AWARD: AVTECH Software Won First Place for Property Technology in the 2021 Go Global Awards.

TRADE SHOW: From October 17th to 21st, our team attended GITEX Technology Week in Dubai.

November

PROMOTION: Our “Made To Upgrade” promotion gave a free Room Alert 3S to all Room Alert users who upgraded their Room Alert Account to Professional tier or higher for 1 year or more. 

TRADE SHOW: On November 16th and 17th, we attended Datacentres Ireland.

December

TRADE SHOW: On December 8th and 9th, we virtually attended Data Centre World Frankfurt.

ROOM ALERT MANAGER: Room Alert Manager 2.0 was released, providing users with advanced sensor data and reporting capabilities.

Plans For 2022

As we reflect on the fantastic year we had in 2021, our team is extremely optimistic for 2022. We are looking forward to a couple of exciting trade show events to kick off the new year. First, we will be attending The Heat & Fire Expo in Miami Florida on February 7th & 8th. Then, we will be attending the rescheduled Datacentre World Frankfurt, at Stand B60, in Germany on May 11th & 12th. 

From a product standpoint, we will continue to deliver significant advancements both in Room Alert Manager and Room Alert Account. With Business Continuity and Disaster Prevention in mind, we’re always striving to make our entire Room Alert product offering the absolute best tool for preventing and minimizing costly environmental downtime.
